The Nhon Trach Bridge project started construction in September 2022 and was scheduled to be completed in August 2025. However, the contractor is focusing on construction with the determination to shorten the progress by 4 months, expected to be completed by the end of April 2025.
Nhon Trach Bridge across Dong Nai River is one of the important items of Ring Road 3 Project - Ho Chi Minh City, connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Dong Nai province.
The Nhon Trach Bridge project consists of 39 piers, of which the main bridge consists of 5 piers and 4 spans. Notably, in September, the first main span of the bridge in the middle of the Dong Nai River will be closed before connecting the other spans in early 2025.
The total length of the bridge is 8.22km. Of which, the section through Ho Chi Minh City is 1.92km long, the section through Dong Nai province is 6.30km long. The total investment of the project is 6,955 billion VND from ODA loans from Korea and domestic counterpart capital, by Kumho E&C Company of Korea.
Nhon Trach Bridge is part of the Ring Road 3 project (component 1, Tan Van - Nhon Trach section). The project spans the Dong Nai River, connecting Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Nai with a length of more than 2 km, width of 19.5 m; clearance for navigation of 30 m.

Nhon Trach Bridge on the Ring Road 3 project after nearly 2 years of construction.
Nhon Trach Bridge project started construction in September 2022. Compared to more than a year ago, the project has basically taken shape.
The Nhon Trach Bridge construction package (package CW1) under component project 1A has a total construction cost of VND 1,618 billion, constructed by Kumho E&C Company (Korea).
A new bridge pier in the middle of the river has just been poured with concrete. According to the My Thuan Project Management Board, this is one of the most difficult items of the project to implement.
In addition to the CW1 package, the Beltway 3 component 1A project also has a package to build the 5.6 km long approach road at both ends of the bridge with a total construction cost of VND 1,071 billion. The expected completion time according to the contract is mid-September 2025.

Nhon Trach bridge construction site is isolated from residential areas. The process of traveling and transporting materials and machinery is mainly by rail and ship.
Currently, My Thuan Project Management Board is coordinating with Ho Chi Minh City Transport Department to construct branches at the intersection with Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway, to ensure connection and put into operation on April 30, 2025.
According to the My Thuan Project Management Board, after the project is completed, people from Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau can turn to Nhon Trach Bridge, sharing the load with Long Thanh Bridge, which is currently congested every day.
