According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from the evening of September 14 to September 15, many areas across the country will have thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing heavy rain. Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.
In the Northwest, Tuyen Quang, the Northern Delta and coastal areas, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast, with rainfall of 10-30mm, locally over 60mm. From Da Nang to Lam Dong and the South, there will also be rain, in some places over 80mm in 3 hours. Heavy rain can cause flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas, and flooding in low-lying areas.
On September 14, many measuring stations recorded heavy rainfall such as Nam Ty (Tuyen Quang) 85.2mm, Nam Cuong (Lao Cai) 72.2mm, Da Nhim (Lam Dong) 71.6mm. The meteorological agency warned of the risk of flash floods and landslides in Dien Bien , Lao Cai and Lam Dong; level 1 natural disaster risk.
In addition, the sea area from Ca Mau to Kien Giang , the Gulf of Thailand, the eastern part of the central and southern East Sea (including Truong Sa special zone) will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, strong gusts of wind at level 6-7, and waves over 2m high. Ships operating in these areas should be on guard against tornadoes and strong winds.

Hanoi: At night and morning there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain, possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and gusts of wind. Temperature 26-34°C.
Northwest: Thunderstorms at night, heavy rain in some places, rain in some places during the day. Temperature 24-33°C.
Northeast: Scattered showers at night and morning, locally heavy rain. Temperature 24-34°C.
Thanh Hoa to Hue: Night and morning showers, locally heavy rain. Temperature 25-33°C.
South Central, Central Highlands, and South: In the late afternoon and at night, there will be scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain, possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind. Central Highlands temperature 20-31°C, South 23-33°C.
The meteorological agency recommends that localities closely monitor the development of thunderstorms, review vulnerable areas, proactively prevent flash floods and landslides, and ensure safety for people and vehicles at sea.
