The number of enterprises in Nghe An increased sharply after Resolution 68-NQ/TW was issued.

DNVN - After the Politburo issued Resolution 68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025 on private economic development, the situation of new business establishment in Nghe An has shown signs of improvement. Since July 2025, the number of newly registered businesses in the province has increased again, creating a positive signal compared to the same period in 2024.

According to statistics from the Nghe An Department of Finance, as of September 2025, the whole province had more than 35,000 established enterprises, of which nearly 17,000 were operating. Although the number of newly registered enterprises and the number of reopened branches and representative offices is still low compared to the national average, in general, Nghe An has overcome the most difficult period.

A report from the Business Registration Office, Nghe An Department of Finance shows that in the first 9 months of the year (up to September 11, 2025), the whole province had 3,803 newly established enterprises, an increase of 71% over the same period in 2024 (2,221 enterprises).

During the same period, 708 enterprises returned to operation, a slight increase over the same period, while the number of dissolved enterprises was 617, 209 higher than last year.

Not only enterprises, the number of individual business households has also increased sharply. Since the beginning of the year, the number of registered business households in Nghe An has increased from about 155,000 to 162,000 households. In particular, in the old district center areas and now communes and wards such as Do Luong, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc, Quynh Luu, Thai Hoa..., the number of applications for individual business registration has increased rapidly, mainly focusing on the fields of opening tutoring centers, life skills education facilities and commercial services.

Notably, the number of individual households wishing to convert to enterprises or add business functions is also increasing. A representative of the Do Luong Commune Public Administration Service Center said that the Tax sector is currently tightening the management of lump-sum taxes, while encouraging households with revenue of over 1 billion VND/year to convert to enterprises to enjoy a number of support policies under Resolution 68-NQ/TW. This has encouraged many individual households to boldly convert, contributing to expanding the scale and improving transparency in business activities.

With the above positive signals, Nghe An is showing a clear change in private economic development, while affirming the substantial impact of Resolution 68-NQ/TW in removing difficulties and encouraging the spirit of entrepreneurship and developing local businesses.
