ANTD.VN - Recently, individuals impersonating Dien May Xanh (a Vietnamese electronics retailer) have been carrying out sophisticated and professional scams, causing significant losses to many victims.

We would like to draw your attention to and warn you to be vigilant against these individuals.

First of all, Dien May Xanh does not conduct direct sales calls, solicit warranty packages, recruit work-from-home collaborators, ask customers to review products for profit, call customers to offer multiple free products, or require customers to transfer money to receive gifts. We also do not have promotional programs that involve direct calls to customers offering unbelievable discounts… We would like to emphasize that Dien May Xanh and The Gioi Di Dong are reputable retailers, therefore we operate on the principles of transparency, voluntariness, and equality. You will not be forced or asked to advance money to obtain any benefit.

Here is some information and ways to identify someone who shows signs of fraud:

- For all transactions involving money, customers should make transfers to our bank accounts under the name of Mobile World Joint Stock Company (specifically account number 123456 at Orient Commercial Bank -OCB and 979979 at Military Bank - MB). We do not have any accounts under the names Dien May Xanh or DMX.

- Official contact information must come from the official call center phone numbers, official websites of The Gioi Dien May and Dien May Xanh, and verified Facebook and Zalo pages (with a blue checkmark).

- If you are dealing with an individual employee, please ensure that this person is indeed the same person you are dealing with at a The Gioi Di Dong or Dien May Xanh store.

- To distinguish genuine employees of The Gioi Di Dong and Dien May Xanh from fake/fraudulent employees: Customers can request identity verification (provide phone number, ID card number, etc.) or make a video call to verify the employee working directly at the store, or call to speak to the manager to verify the employee… Because genuine employees always want to sell products and serve customers, they will always be willing and happy to allow customers to verify their identity and will do everything possible to ensure customer verification is certain, while fraudulent employees will refuse to answer or always give evasive answers when asked to verify their identity.

- Scammers may steal employee information or images of Dien May Xanh employees from social media to use in their scams. Please remember: verifying employee identities is extremely important and must be done using a reliable method.

- For transactions requiring a staff member to visit your home, please ensure you have made an appointment with us in advance.

- Always be wary of offers promising great benefits without requiring any effort or time, and especially of requests to transfer money to an individual or organization.

- Dien May Xanh always offers simple, easy-to-follow programs for customers. Therefore, if someone asks you to go through many steps, over many days, or repeatedly, it could be a scam.

In a specific case we recently received, a scammer contacted customers posing as an employee of Dien May Xanh (a Vietnamese electronics retailer), inviting them to participate in product reviews to receive money or gifts from a customer appreciation program. They started by using the official Dien May Xanh website link to create the impression that this was a genuine program from Dien May Xanh. The scammers even provided verification documents proving that this was indeed a program from the system, causing the victims to lower their guard.

Fake documents created by fraudsters.

After gaining trust, the perpetrators will continue to set traps with sophisticated and skillful steps, involving multiple "personnel" from the "company" to provide advice, with the ultimate goal of requesting the customer to transfer money. The money transferred is intended as an advance payment so that the customer can receive a larger commission or goods, and the amount will gradually increase each time. After the victim transfers the money, they will cut off all communication and disappear to steal the funds.

In addition to forging official documents and seals, and stealing personal information and images of Dien May Xanh employees to gain trust, these individuals are even more sophisticated, using information with "signs" related to Dien May Xanh, such as using bank transfer names that include the words Dien May Xanh or DMX…
