On the morning of October 29, at Cao Bang General Trading Joint Stock Company, Hoang Nhu Street, Hop Giang Ward, Cao Bang City, the Provincial Steering Committee for Fire Fighting and Rescue (CNCH) drills organized a fire fighting and rescue drill. Attending and directing the drill were comrade Hoang Xuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee; Colonel Vu Hong Quang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, districts and cities in the province.

At the drill, more than 200 officers and soldiers of the police force, military , units, doctors, civil defense forces... practiced a simulated fire situation occurring on the first floor of Cao Bang Supermarket, belonging to Cao Bang General Trading Joint Stock Company due to an electrical short circuit, forming a large fire, spreading to the upper floors and surrounding areas.
In that situation, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Command Board proposed tactics, methods, measures and procedures for fire fighting and rescue in 3 phases. Phase 1: When detecting a fire, the local fire prevention and fighting force deployed forces and means on the spot to organize fire fighting and rescue people and property. Phase 2 involved the participation of the fire fighting force and means of the provincial police, deploying fire fighting, rescue and rescue teams and mobilizing additional civil defense forces and forces under the provincial police. Phase 3: Assessing that the fire situation continues to develop strongly, it is necessary to mobilize maximum forces and means in the province to handle it.
With close command and management, close coordination, smooth, active and urgent cooperation of the forces, the drill completed all contents according to the proposed scenario, ensuring absolute safety of people, equipment and vehicles.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the provincial fire fighting, rescue and relief drills in 2024.
Speaking at the rehearsal, Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh emphasized: With the current trend of socio-economic development in the province, the fields of production, tourism and services are increasing, posing many potential risks of fire and explosion, causing great damage to people and property; units and localities must properly implement the Prime Minister's direction in Directive No. 01 dated January 3, 2023 on strengthening fire prevention and fighting in the new situation, the directives of the Central and the province on strengthening fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue in the new situation; must take people as the center, as the subject, put people's safety and lives first and foremost. Fire and explosion safety for economic and social development, ensuring political stability, social order and safety of the country and the province. In fire prevention work, prevention is the main thing, prevention is "building", treatment is "fighting", prevention is "basic - strategic - long-term". Do a good job of fire prevention to reduce fire fighting work with the motto: each safe house - each safe factory, enterprise, business - each safe neighborhood - each safe commune, ward, town. Propose that the Provincial Police, Fire Police and Rescue force strengthen propaganda, inspection, and guidance in ensuring fire safety in the area in the coming time.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 3 groups and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in the provincial firefighting and rescue plan drills. The Director of the Provincial Police awarded certificates of merit to 5 groups and 5 individuals with achievements in organizing the provincial firefighting and rescue plan drills.
