Over the years, the nursing work of the Cardiology Department has always been carried out well by the nursing team in the hospital's emulation movements, striving to fulfill the assigned functions and tasks. Accordingly, in the professional work of patient care, the nursing team has implemented and applied the patient care model with many results, creating trust for patients and their families, while affirming the role of nursing staff in caring for and treating soldiers and people, bringing satisfaction to patients.

Nursing is a profession that “serves hundreds of families” because every day, every hour, we have to come into contact with patients to assess their symptoms. In addition, each nurse must also carry out treatment orders, coordinate closely with doctors, care for and treat patients. Especially, in severe cases, nurses must always provide comprehensive and continuous care; not only care for the illness but also care for the spirit... Every time we see the sad eyes of patients, in the final stages, any nurse wonders how to explain and encourage patients and their relatives to feel more secure. It is rare to find a profession that forces people to overcome the limits of love and callousness, in the face of difficult circumstances as well as facing such challenges.

Cardiology nurses take care of patients.

With a large workload at the Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology, along with the team of doctors of the department, each nurse of the department is under great pressure, most directly related to the lives of patients. "We believe that every day we give love, we will receive love in return, this is the motivation to strive wholeheartedly for the patients. Taking good care of patients is the common desire of the entire nursing staff", Ms. Hien, Head Nurse of the Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology of the hospital shared.

In particular, during the peak of the Covid-19 epidemic, when Directive 4 had to be implemented on-site, lasting from 1 to 2 weeks, the nurses of the department took turns putting aside their personal lives and emotions to carry out the central tasks of the unit in the new situation. At that time, everyone had worries about their families, but after a few minutes of sadness, all the nurses threw themselves into work, with great determination, caring for and treating patients, ensuring safety during the epidemic.

Patient care during the peak of the Covid-19 epidemic.

Sharing an unforgettable memory during her work, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai, a nurse in the Cardiology Department, said: "In 2021, on the night of the 30th, in my shift, everyone was preparing to celebrate New Year's Eve when we received an emergency case, a wounded soldier. At that time, we focused on emergency care, no longer thinking about the New Year. Sadly, despite our best efforts, we still could not save him." Although the war has long since ended, the Covid-19 epidemic is an "invisible enemy", taking away the health and lives of many people, comrades, and teammates. Therefore, we always keep in mind to work together, regardless of difficulties, to overcome all challenges, to protect the health of soldiers and people. "We are proud and happy to be doctors in military uniforms".

Wearing a white blouse, the nurses of the Department of Cardiology are always ready to provide medical care, helping patients overcome pain and fatigue during treatment. On the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the establishment of the Department of Cardiology (June 27, 1956 / June 27, 2023), we, the nurses of the Department of Cardiology, always remind each other to be dedicated and enthusiastic in caring for patients, to have love and responsibility for the profession, and to constantly improve professional qualifications, change service style and attitude to aim for patient satisfaction.
