“Vietnamese Costume Walking in London” is a highlight in the series of Vietnamese Costume Walking in Europe events taking place in 9 major cities across Europe, initiated and sponsored by the Vietnamese Women's Union in Europe.
The event was organized by the Vietnamese community in the UK in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Association of Vietnamese Women and Children in the UK, and the Association of Vietnamese Students in the UK.
The event attracted the participation of more than 120 overseas Vietnamese from all over the UK, creating a sacred atmosphere filled with national pride and leaving a strong mark on the international community.
Representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK and the Organizing Committee came to lay flowers at New Zealand House to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the place where he worked in 1913.

The group then paraded through famous and historically significant landmarks such as Westminster Bridge, London Eye, Big Ben...
In the vibrant colors of Vietnamese traditional costumes - the crystallization of Vietnamese culture, the Vietnamese people paraded together on the streets of London.

“Vietnamese Costumes for Walking in London” has gone beyond the framework of a cultural event, becoming a symbol connecting the overseas Vietnamese generation with their roots, while conveying a strong message of love for the homeland, contributing to enhancing the image of Vietnam in the eyes of international friends.
Ms. Hoang Ha, Head of the Organizing Committee, said: “The 80th anniversary of National Day is not only an opportunity for us to express gratitude and pride in the glorious history of the nation, but also a reminder that every Vietnamese person – whether at home or abroad – still carries in their hearts pride, resilience and undying love for the Fatherland.”
