On the evening of September 11th, the Hanoi City Police announced that the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department had questioned streamer Phung Thanh Do (aka Do Mixi) regarding his use of banned substances and inappropriate language on social media.
Previously, images and videos appeared online showing Độ Mixi using shisha at a bar, causing a strong backlash from the public.
Hanoi police stated that the above behavior has been banned since January 1st, and it is particularly noteworthy that this individual is a KOL (Key Opinion Leader) with significant influence among young people. The police determined that the incident could negatively impact online security and order, and therefore worked with Độ Mixi to verify the facts.
During the meeting, Độ Mixi admitted that the person in the video was him and confirmed that he had used shisha on September 3rd.
