A group of 4,500 Indian tourists arrived in Hanoi.

The group of 4,500 Indian tourists will be divided into smaller groups and will arrive in Vietnam from August 27th to September 7th. They are all employees of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, from various countries but mainly from India, and are classified as high-spending tourists.

The Indian delegation took a commemorative photo at the Temple of Literature on the afternoon of August 27th.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited is also one of the top 5 billionaires in India. The billionaire himself will be accompanying the delegation.

On August 27th, the first group of nearly 500 visitors arrived in Hanoi . In the afternoon, the group split into smaller teams to visit historical sites such as Hoa Lo Prison, the Temple of Literature, and Ba Dinh Square.

A representative from Vietravel Travel Company (the unit organizing some transportation services for the group) stated that the company has prepared a system of high-class tourist buses with modern designs to provide comfort for tourists during their journey to each location on the tour itinerary.

Reportedly, the Indian tour group came to Vietnam following a pre-planned itinerary. The Indian travel agency proactively booked rooms at hotels in Vietnam. All services were booked 2-3 months in advance.

Due to the large number of participants, the tour will include visits to Ha Long Bay and Ninh Binh before returning to Hanoi for accommodation. Currently, 11 five-star hotels in Hanoi are available to host this group.

Hotels are all ready to welcome the group. Many hotels such as InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72, Meliá Hanoi, Movenpick Living West Hanoi, Pan Pacific Hanoi, Novotel Hanoi Thai Ha… have hired Indian chefs and imported some ingredients to ensure a rich menu featuring traditional Indian dishes.

Several Vietnamese dishes are also included on the menu to introduce to tourists, such as pho, fish noodle soup, fish cakes, and desserts made from Vong village's sticky rice flakes.

According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, the unit has directed tourist destinations to coordinate with tour operators to guide and prioritize the flow of visitors, assign separate personnel to control tickets, and ensure the safety and security of visitors within the tourist site's premises.

For the 11 five-star hotels where the tour group stayed during their time in Hanoi, the Department of Tourism directed them to improve the quality of facilities and ensure security, fire prevention, and food safety and hygiene.
