Quang Ninh has more than 67km of sea border adjacent to China. In recent times, units stationed on the sea border, especially the Border Guard force, have successfully completed the task of protecting the sovereignty and security of the sea border. Deploying and strictly implementing combat training orders; proactively grasping the situation, not allowing passive and unexpected situations to arise.

Through inspection and understanding of the actual situation of the sea, focusing on the sea area of ​​Co To, Tran island and the area adjacent to points 8 and 9 on the demarcation line of the Gulf of Tonkin, comrade Vu Dai Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province, highly appreciated the results in the work of managing and protecting the border on the sea route. At the same time, he requested the forces to continue to strengthen patrolling and controlling, grasp the situation, firmly protect the sovereignty of the border at sea; promptly detect, combat and prevent acts of smuggling and law violations.

In addition, continue to promote propaganda on Vietnamese legal regulations and international agreements on the management of activities of people and vehicles in the maritime border area, regulations on combating illegal fishing, and protecting the marine environment. Thereby, further improving fishermen's awareness and understanding of the law in implementing current legal regulations.

Visiting and encouraging the people and armed forces on Tran Island, the Provincial Party Secretary proposed that based on a survey of the needs of armed forces units and people on the island, infrastructure investment projects be proposed to serve the life and activities on the island, especially the need for domestic water.
