(BBG)- On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army on December 22 (1944-2024), the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day on December 22, on the afternoon of December 18, the working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee led by Comrade Nguyen Van Gau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and congratulated the Command of Military Region 1.
Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee: Nguyen Viet Oanh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Colonel Pham Van Tao, Commander of the Provincial Military Command. Joining the delegation were comrade Dinh Duc Canh, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of the Provincial Women's Union and Provincial Youth Union.
Receiving the delegation were Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai, member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of Military Region 1 and leaders of the Military Region.

On behalf of the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of Bac Giang province, comrade Nguyen Van Gau sent his best wishes to the comrades in the Party Committee, the High Command and officers and soldiers of Military Region 1. At the same time, he informed about some outstanding results achieved by the province in 2024. Despite many difficulties, with high concentration of direction, tradition of solidarity, and the joint efforts of the business community and all classes of people, Bac Giang continued to maintain the highest economic growth rate in the country; some indicators were among the leading groups in the country; political security, social order and safety were maintained, and the material and spiritual life of the people was improved.
The Provincial Party Secretary thanked the Party Committee and the Military Region 1 Command for their attention, creating all conditions, leading and directing the provincial armed forces to excellently complete the military and defense tasks of the past year. In 2025, the province will continue to focus on directing the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, local defense and military work. The most important task is to successfully organize party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress. He hoped that the Military Region 1 Command would continue to pay attention and contribute with the Party Committee, army and people of Bac Giang province to complete the assigned tasks, maintain security and stability, and build a strong and comprehensive local military force.
On behalf of the Military Region 1 Command, Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai thanked the Party Committee, government and people of Bac Giang province for their affection and attention; and congratulated the locality on achieving many comprehensive results in all fields. He affirmed that Bac Giang is in the leading group in local military and defense work as well as in emulation movements of the Military Region. Therefore, the Military Command of Bac Giang province needs to continue to promote the achieved results, actively carry out digital transformation, promote emulation movements, educate traditions, build a strong and comprehensive force, worthy of the trust of the Party Committee, government and people in the province.
He affirmed that in the coming time, officers and soldiers of Military Region 1 will continue to stand side by side with the Party Committee, government and people of Bac Giang in all aspects of activities and work. Through that, they will contribute to maintaining stability in the area, creating favorable conditions for the province to develop comprehensively.

Here, on behalf of the provincial leaders, the Provincial Party Secretary sent congratulations to all cadres, commanders, former cadres, commanders, soldiers, and local military forces on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day. He acknowledged and commended the results and achievements that cadres, soldiers, military forces, and local military forces in the province have achieved in the past time. At the same time, he emphasized: 2024 is a year of many difficulties and challenges, but the province has directed decisively and flexibly in management and leadership and achieved outstanding and comprehensive results in all fields.
In particular, national defense - security, social order and safety are ensured. The province has directed the successful organization of the Tan Yen district defense area exercise, which was highly appreciated and expanded by Military Region 1. Despite many difficulties, the Provincial Military Command has made great efforts, promoted the spirit of discipline, completed its tasks well, and was commended by Military Region 1. The provincial military force has a firm grasp of the area, advised the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to propose policies and solutions for the implementation of national defense and military tasks. In addition, it strictly implemented the combat readiness regime and did a good job of mass mobilization as well as military regimes and policies, contributing to the overall results of the province.
Entering 2025, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial Party Committee and Military Command to coordinate well with localities to research, advise, and successfully organize Party congresses at all levels; continue to do a good job in the military rear area; pay attention to mass mobilization work, stay close to the people, and stick with the people to continue to foster the beautiful image of Uncle Ho's soldiers.

Colonel Pham Van Tao, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, thanked the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee for their attention and congratulations. At the same time, he affirmed that the local cadres, soldiers, and military forces will continue to unite and be loyal to the Fatherland and the people, build a strong provincial armed force, and excellently complete all assigned tasks.
