According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Newcastle valued Isak at around £150 million, while Liverpool only offered £120 million in their first bid. This figure was immediately rejected by Newcastle.

According to BBC , Liverpool do not believe that the Isak deal can be successful this summer, given the current situation. Even when Isak expressed his ambition to leave Newcastle to join Liverpool, "The Kop" was not willing to meet the figure of 150 million pounds.

Last month, the BBC reported that Liverpool were considering paying just £130m, including add-ons, for Isak. But Newcastle were adamant that the player was not for sale.

Isak has been left out of Newcastle's pre-season tour of Asia with a "minor thigh injury", the club said in a statement. The Sweden international has been training alone at former club Real Sociedad amid uncertainty over his future.

Isak joined Newcastle from Sociedad in 2022 for a fee of £60 million. After 86 appearances, the striker scored 54 goals for the "Magpies".

This summer, Liverpool have spent around £265m on new players such as Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, Giorgi Mamardashvili and Armin Pecsi.

On the other hand, the sale of players like Luis Diaz, Jarell Quansah, Caoimhin Kelleher and Trent Alexander-Arnold brought Liverpool around £115 million.

Goals on the day Liverpool won the championship In the early morning of April 28, Liverpool crushed Tottenham 5-1 at Anfield, thereby winning the Premier League championship 4 rounds early.
