Provincial delegation offers incense on the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), on the morning of May 6, the provincial delegation laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs at the Provincial Martyrs' Temple (Hoa Lu district) and the Provincial Martyrs' Memorial (Ninh Binh city).

Attending the incense offering ceremony were comrades: Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, National Assembly Delegation, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; leaders of departments, branches, socio-political organizations, armed forces and districts and cities in the province.

70 years ago, under the brilliant and wise leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, together with the intelligence and bravery of our army and people, the historic battle of Dien Bien Phu won a complete victory, completely ending the French colonial invasion of our country; opening a new revolutionary period, bringing the North to transition to socialism, creating a solid rear for the cause of liberating the South and unifying the country. The victory of Dien Bien Phu will forever be an immortal heroic epic - "A shining golden milestone" in the history of our people, our mountains and rivers, our country.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, on behalf of the Party Committee, government, army and people in the province, the provincial leaders respectfully offered incense and laid wreaths with the words "The Party Committee and People of Ninh Binh province forever remember the heroic martyrs", commemorating the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed in the cause of national liberation and reunification.

During the resistance wars, there were more than 16 thousand heroic martyrs who were the children of Ninh Binh who fought and sacrificed heroically, including 61 martyrs who heroically sacrificed in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, contributing to the victory that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world".

Promoting the revolutionary tradition, the Party Committee, government and people in the province vow to continue to strive, join hands and overcome difficulties, determined to build the province to develop quickly and sustainably, worthy of the great sacrifices of the heroic martyrs for the revolutionary cause of the Party and the Vietnamese people.
