Delegation of Tuyen Quang province offered incense at the special national relic site of Quang Tri Citadel .

The delegation included leaders and representatives of departments, branches and units of the province.

In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, with infinite respect and gratitude, the delegation offered flowers and incense, and observed a minute of silence to commemorate and pay tribute to the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed their lives during the 81-day and night campaign to fight and protect the Citadel and Quang Tri Town.

Comrade Ha Trung Kien, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, offered incense at the special national relic site of Quang Tri Ancient Citadel.

In front of the heroic martyrs, the provincial delegation, on behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Tuyen Quang province, pledged to maintain the great national unity bloc; promote patriotic emulation movements, build Tuyen Quang province to be increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized; pay attention to educating generations to promote the patriotic tradition and revolutionary spirit of their ancestors; actively do a good job of "Repaying gratitude"...

Previously, during our people's resistance war against the US to save the country, Quang Tri Citadel recorded in the nation's history a shining golden milestone of revolutionary heroism through the heroic and resilient fight to protect the Citadel and Quang Tri Town during 81 historic days and nights, the fiery summer of 1972 by our army and people, contributing significantly to the victory at the Paris Conference, creating momentum for the general offensive and uprising of the entire nation in the Spring of 1975, liberating the South and unifying the country.

Thousands of soldiers have forever remained underground here. Quang Tri Citadel today is a place to educate the tradition of patriotism and revolution for the young generations and the people of the whole country, becoming a sacred symbol of the desire for peace.
