On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 / July 27, 2023), the 55th anniversary of the Dong Loc Victory and the commemoration of 10 female youth volunteer martyrs (July 24, 1968 / July 24, 2023), on the morning of July 26, the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese - Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ha Tinh Province, Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union organized for 120 young overseas Vietnamese to visit the Dong Loc T-junction Historical Site (Can Loc District, Ha Tinh).
Here, the delegation offered flowers and incense at the National Youth Volunteer Martyrs Monument and the graves of 10 female youth volunteers who died at Dong Loc T-junction, to express gratitude for the great contributions of generations of fathers and brothers who fought bravely and sacrificed their blood and bones for the cause of national liberation and reunification.

After the incense offering ceremony, the delegation of young overseas Vietnamese presented 40 gifts worth 40 million VND to the families of female martyrs, martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers in Can Loc district; and presented 10 million VND to the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Ha Tinh province.
On this occasion, young overseas Vietnamese returning from Poland, on behalf of the Vietnamese community in Poland, presented 600 USD to the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Ha Tinh province.

On the same afternoon, the young overseas Vietnamese continued to participate in charity activities in Quang Binh province. The delegation visited and presented 30 million VND to the Quang Binh Provincial Social Work Center. In addition, the Vietnamese community in Poland presented 600 USD to the Quang Binh Provincial Social Work Center.
The Quang Binh Provincial Social Work Center is a place to receive, care for, and nurture those in need of protection and social assistance; rehabilitate disabled children and people with disabilities; and contribute to the implementation of the goals of protecting, caring for, and educating children in the province. Knowing that, young overseas Vietnamese have personally prepared and presented small gifts to 76 people being cared for and nurtured by the Center, to express their sympathy.

The gift-giving activities in Ha Tinh and Quang Binh are two of four volunteer activities of the Vietnam Summer Camp 2023 program. Previously, the campers visited and gave gifts to children at the SOS Children's Village in Thanh Hoa province. The delegation will also visit and give gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Vinh Linh, Quang Tri.
The money donated in the charity activities of Vietnam Summer Camp 2023 was raised and donated by the campers themselves. Kieu Anh, an overseas Vietnamese returning from Slovakia, shared: “We returned from Slovakia, Laos, Thailand, Belarus, Greece, the US, France, Russia, Australia, Malaysia, Romania, Ukraine... but in our hearts we are always proud to be Vietnamese, proud of the good tradition of Vietnam: kindness. I think, giving is forever. Hopefully, our small actions will spread, encourage the younger generation to actively participate in community activities, building good things for life.”
