Cuba's "Little Beehive" children's art troupe returns to Vietnam

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba, within the framework of the "Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Year", at the Ho Guom Theater (Hanoi) on August 26, there will be a performance by the Cuban Children's Art Troupe "La Colmenita" (Little Beehive).

Recognized and highly appreciated by the international art community for its unique educational methods, energetic energy and commitment to universal values, “The Little Beehive” will bring to Vietnamese audiences the play “Cinderella in the style of The Beatles”.

This is a fresh re-imagining of the classic fairy tale, interwoven with the timeless songs of the legendary British band. The show is suitable for all ages, a "party" combining music , color and joy, while spreading the values of friendship, solidarity and collective talent.

Founded in 1990 by director Carlos Alberto “Tin” Cremata, the “Little Beehive” Art Troupe has toured more than 25 countries, bringing the message of peace to many famous stages around the world such as: Bread and Puppet Theater (USA), Odin Theater (Denmark), “People's Little” Theater (Bangladesh) or “Les Mordus” Theater (Belgium)...

In 2007, the group was appointed a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. Since 2010, the group has had its own orchestra and has been nominated for a Latin Grammy. In 2022, "The Little Beehive" and director Cremata were awarded Cuba's highest cultural honor: the Félix Varela Medal, First Class.

It is known that "Little Beehive" came to Vietnam in April 2014, within the framework of Hue Festival.
