VTV Youth Union with many outstanding activities in 2024

(NADS) - With the spirit of initiative, creativity and solidarity, the Youth Union of Vietnam Television (VTV) has ended 2024 with proud marks. Not only being in the top of the emulation movement of the Youth Union of Central Agencies, VTV's Youth Union was also honored to receive the Emulation Flag from the Central Youth Union, affirming its pioneering position in the youth movement.

Highlights

Over the past year, VTV has organized many meaningful and practical activities:

• Organizing political programs and cultural exchanges: Seminar on “The role of media in promoting international cooperation”; political activities “The spirit of Ly Tu Trong and the aspirations of youth in the new era”; honoring 60 outstanding secretaries of the Youth Union.

• Volunteering for the community: The group has mobilized more than 25 billion VND to implement volunteer projects such as building schools, supporting people in flood-hit areas, and implementing the program "Healing scars for children" - a large-scale free scar and birthmark treatment project for children nationwide that will last until 2027.

Connectivity and diplomacy

VTV Youth Union has promoted cooperation with other Youth Unions and many domestic organizations. Outstanding cooperation programs include:

• Support children in remote areas: Coordinate with VOV Youth Union to mobilize funding and build Khau Dua kindergarten in Cao Bang province, with a total project value of over 500 million VND.

• Helping people in flood-affected areas: Together with the Youth Union of the Department of Communications - Ministry of Public Security, organized the transportation of 220 tons of goods worth 14.9 billion VND to provinces heavily affected by floods. At the same time, implemented the program "Living after floods" to support people to restore their livelihoods with thousands of breeding animals worth more than 5 billion VND.

Internal expertise and innovation

Along with social movements, VTV Youth Union constantly improves professional capacity for union members:

• Support professional work: Encourage members to develop their capacity in the fields of communication and program production.

• Create a cohesive environment: Organize 52 activities during the year, from skills training sessions to cultural and sports events, creating conditions for union members to bond and develop.
