Nearly 1.8 million passengers traveled safely by elevated railway on the occasion of September 2nd holiday

On the afternoon of September 3, Hanoi Railway One Member Co., Ltd. (Hanoi Metro) announced that during the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, from August 21 to September 2, Hanoi Metro safely transported nearly 1.8 million passengers on the two urban railway lines No. 2A Cat Linh - Ha Dong and No. 3.1 Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station.

Particularly, in the 4 days from August 30 to September 2, implementing the direction of the City People's Committee in Document No. 4761/UBND-DT, the Company organized free services for passengers and served nearly 690 thousand passengers, including: Route 2A Cat Linh - Ha Dong: Over 468,000 passengers. Route 3.1 Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station (elevated section Nhon - Cau Giay) was over 217,000 passengers.

Notably, on September 1, the Cat Linh - Ha Dong 2A line set a new record when it transported more than 165,000 passengers in just one day - the highest passenger volume ever on this line. This figure continues to affirm the important role of urban railways in reducing congestion and ensuring smooth traffic during major holidays.

Passengers can take the skytrain for free during the September 2nd holiday.

To spread the message of "Safety - Convenience - Environmental friendliness", Hanoi Metro has coordinated with accompanying units and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society , the Hanoi Red Cross Society, to carry out many meaningful activities to serve the people such as organizing the free distribution of nearly 40,000 bottles of water and more than 2,000 breads and cakes of all kinds to passengers participating in activities in the A80 event chain.

In addition to the impressive results achieved, Hanoi Metro would like to express our gratitude for the attention and timely direction of the City People's Committee leaders, along with the enthusiastic coordination and support from departments, branches and local authorities throughout the implementation process.

The elevated railway set a new record by transporting more than 165,000 passengers on September 1 alone.

At the same time, the company also sends its sincere apologies for the limitations, shortcomings and imperfections in the process of passengers using Hanoi Metro services, especially during peak times, when travel demand increases.
