Enterprises from 20 countries participate in Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City 2023 Exhibition

On the morning of June 23, the Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City 2023 exhibition opened in Ho Chi Minh City, with about 461 units and businesses from 20 countries and territories participating, an increase of more than 28% over the same period last year.

This is the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of the latest products, services and technologies in the automotive industry in Vietnam.

Ms. Fiona Chiew, General Director of Messe Frankfurt Ltd, representative of the organizer, said that since the launch of Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam has become one of the fastest growing markets in Southeast Asia. Through the process of urbanization, the domestic automobile industry is preparing to enter a new era, welcoming opportunities from the integration of developments in electric vehicles, digital technology , manufacturing industry and automation into the supply chain. These factors will be introduced at the event through products on display, seminars or workshops.

Currently, Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City has become a trade promotion platform, a place for technology and business exchange and development in Vietnam. Through this, exhibitors have launched the latest products, services, technologies and solutions, including components, accessories, diagnostic and repair equipment, electric vehicles and automotive manufacturing and automation.

Notably, among the 461 exhibitors in 2023, there are automotive companies from China, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Germany, Taiwan (China) and Thailand, aiming to expand their business in the local market. These companies include: Dielektrik UAB, EXEDY, Launch, Liqui Moly, OBD Vietnam/Autel, SAMPA, TecAlliance, Yon Ming and ZF.

According to the Organizing Committee, the new point of this year's exhibition is to increase both the quantity and quality of participants to contribute to the development of the Vietnamese automobile industry. On the other hand, this year, more foreign enterprises also participated, which shows that the automobile market in Vietnam is a new destination attracting foreign enterprises as Vietnam increasingly participates in the global supply chain.

"The Vietnamese automobile industry has developed quite rapidly in the past 3 years. Domestic manufacturing and assembly enterprises have gradually affirmed their role and position in the domestic automobile market and have made strong progress in both quantity and quality. With sales in the first months of the year increasing by 60% compared to the same period last year, it further shows that the Vietnamese automobile market still has a lot of potential for development. Therefore, the organizers have designed a talk program with both businessmen and consumers through two streams of events to create a dialogue, thereby proposing solutions to develop the Vietnamese automobile industry in the coming time," Ms. Chiew added.

During the 3-day exhibition (June 23-25), there will be main programs including: Conference on automotive production, transformation and automation; connecting digital and electrification businesses; auto service and maintenance workshops... In particular, for the first time, Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City will organize an outdoor festival to celebrate the milestone of the fifth edition during the 3-day exhibition. The purpose is to attract the attention of car enthusiasts to automotive products and services for future consumers when using cars...
