The project sets targets for 2025 on the rate of enterprises meeting environmental management standards according to ISO 14001; the rate of reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from the use of electricity, new and renewable energy; the rate of industrial parks, high-tech parks, and industrial clusters with centralized wastewater treatment systems that meet environmental technical standards; the rate of industrial establishments outside concentrated areas generating wastewater of 50m3/day or more with wastewater treatment systems that meet environmental technical standards...
To achieve the above objectives, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated to survey 300 travel service businesses, tourist areas and attractions, and tourist transportation on the implementation of the environmental management system according to ISO 14001 standards and develop and organize the implementation of this standard in the tourism sector, ensuring regulations on environmental friendliness, economical and efficient use of energy, and minimizing household waste at source in business activities.
The Department of Industry and Trade organized a training course on general awareness of the environmental management system according to ISO 14001 standards for organizations and individuals engaged in production and business in the city; organized a training course on general awareness of green productivity, solutions for sustainable development of enterprises. Enterprises research and implement a number of solutions that bring many economic, social and environmental benefits such as: using waste ash to produce unburnt bricks and tiles; collecting and classifying scrap paper and cardboard to use as input materials for kraft paper production companies... Scrap wood of Viet Lang Forestry Company Limited is used to burn boilers of the Green Energy Production Company.
Danang Rubber Joint Stock Company invests in modern production lines to not only produce quality products, but also collects and recycles old tires, creating high-tech retreaded and glued tire products that help reduce waste to the environment, prolong the product life cycle, and is recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment as a product and packaging recycling unit in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Environmental Protection.
In addition to almost completely eliminating fossil fuels, Tan Long Packaging Paper Factory invests in modern technology to recycle 70 tons of waste paper per day, helping businesses save long-term costs. Director of Tan Long Packaging Paper Factory Ha Ngoc Thong shared: "Although the initial investment cost is large, this is the responsibility that businesses must do in the current development trend."

Director of Ba Loc Adhesive and Abrasive Fabric Production Company (Hoa Khanh Industrial Park) Nguyen Thanh Phuoc said: "The company invested in a rooftop solar power system that is highly effective and useful when saving the company's electricity bill of 3-6 million VND/month and selling to the power grid for a revenue of 500-600 million VND/year. In addition, this system helps to reduce the temperature in the factory significantly, no longer stuffy in the hot season, labor productivity increased. From there, the company changed working hours to maximize the power produced from the solar power system".
Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Van Tru said that, in the face of the trend of sustainable development and contributing to environmental protection and climate change adaptation, our country is transforming its growth model to a green economy, a circular economy, low emissions and efficient use of resources. For Da Nang, along with building an environmental city, green transformation, digital transformation and renewable energy development are always identified as strategic directions.
The city has implemented programs to support businesses in cleaner production, digital transformation, green transformation, building smart factories, developing rooftop solar energy, piloting green electricity certification mechanisms, etc., contributing to spreading, raising awareness, promoting connections and actions to jointly build a sustainable development ecosystem, effectively adapting to global climate change.
