Strong investment from facilities to service quality
As a locality with a rich system of natural and cultural heritage, conditions for strong tourism development, in recent years, the accommodation network has become increasingly diverse, meeting many customer segments from high-end to community and eco-tourism. Currently, Ninh Binh has more than 900 accommodation establishments, with over 12,000 rooms, of which 21 establishments meet 4 to 5 star standards, mainly concentrated in Hoa Lu city, Gia Vien district.
Right from the beginning of the year, to anticipate the peak tourist season, major hotels in the area have completed the renovation and upgrading of facilities, especially the restaurant system, reception area and common living space. At Ninh Binh Legend Hotel - the first 5-star hotel in the province with 268 comfortable rooms, serving capacity of about 600 guests, the preparation work is very meticulous and thoughtful. Mr. Pham Ha, CEO of Ninh Binh Legend Hotel shared: “We have focused on reviewing the entire service process and training staff to ensure the best service quality. The restaurant system, spa area, and conference center have also been renovated in a friendly and modern direction. This is a special occasion to affirm the brand, so every step is strictly controlled”.
In addition to large-scale hotels, many small accommodation models such as homestays, bungalows, retreats, etc. have also actively responded. Tam Coc Metoo Bungalow, a retreat-style accommodation facility in Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District, is a typical example. With its nature-friendly architecture and quiet space, this place is an ideal choice for groups of tourists looking for tranquility and harmony with nature.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai, Facility Manager, said: “We are very happy that the province organized the event during the low season, which not only helps stimulate tourism but also supports businesses to maintain stable operations. Currently, all staff have been assigned and trained in additional customer care skills, and we have also renovated the campus to create a good impression on visitors.”
Along with upgrading facilities, accommodation establishments in the province have strengthened inspections of conditions to ensure fire safety, food hygiene, security and order, especially in locations near the Tourism Week area such as Tam Coc - Bich Dong, Trang An, Bai Dinh Pagoda, etc.
In particular, the training and development of tourism human resources, which is considered a key factor, is being given top priority by businesses. Hundreds of employees at hotels, restaurants, and homestays have participated in professional training courses to improve their communication skills, situation handling, foreign languages, and understanding of local culture.
Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang, manager of Athena Premier Resort, Hoa Lu city said: “The human resources of the tourism industry are now younger and more qualified than before. However, we still continuously organize regular training, especially on skills to interact with international guests and build a culture of dedicated, friendly but professional service.”
Seize the opportunity to promote and expand the market
Ninh Binh Tourism Week is not only a peak time to welcome visitors but also a "big stage" for businesses to promote their brands, products and services to domestic and international friends. Seizing this opportunity, many businesses have launched special promotional packages and services exclusively during the week such as: combo accommodation - sightseeing - dining at preferential prices, free pick-up and drop-off service, souvenir gifts...
In addition, the facilities also increase digital communication, promote through social networks, OTA (Online Travel Agent) platforms, coordinate with KOLs, travel bloggers to introduce the image of the facility and destination.
Mr. Tong Anh De, Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Tourism Association said: “Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2025 with the theme “The Golden Color of Tam Coc - Trang An” will take place from May 23 to 29, right at the time of the golden rice season, creating a charming landscape painting typical of the heritage area. The event is not only a highlight of the local tourism industry but also an opportunity to strongly promote the image of Ninh Binh land and people to domestic and foreign tourists. Therefore, the Provincial Tourism Association has actively directed its members to proactively participate in the province's activities, develop service plans, and create a civilized, clean, and safe tourism environment. At the same time, we also support businesses in promotional activities, connecting with major travel agencies, contributing to improving the effectiveness of event communication”.
However, the special highlight of Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2025 is the extensive participation of local people in developing community tourism. In the communes of Ninh Hai, Ninh Thang, Truong Yen (Hoa Lu city), Gia Van, Gia Sinh (Gia Vien district) ..., hundreds of households doing tourism have proactively renovated their houses and gardens, prepared rural experience services such as: harvesting rice, planting rice seedlings, catching fish, cooking rice in clay pots, making rice paper, rowing boats ...
Ms. Vu Thi Men, owner of a community tourism household in Ninh Thang commune, Hoa Lu city, shared: “This year, the rice ripened early and the landscape was beautiful, so we took the opportunity to clean up the landscape earlier than every year to serve Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2025. In addition to the old services, we will add experiences of harvesting rice with farmers, visiting and taking photos with lotus, cycling in rice fields, organizing outdoor tea ceremonies... to serve tourists who love tranquility.”
Tourists not only get to admire the natural beauty but also immerse themselves in local life - something that more and more international visitors love. The connection between the people and the tourism industry is increasingly tight, contributing to creating a sustainable development model, bringing practical benefits to the community.
According to the assessment of the provincial tourism sector, Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2025 is not only a promotional event but also a test of the system's ability to serve peak season tourism. The careful organization will be an important stepping stone for Ninh Binh to reach the goals of welcoming more than 9 million visitors in 2025, increasing tourism revenue, and expanding the international market.
This is also the premise for realizing the goal of building the Ninh Binh brand as a national key tourism center, associated with world cultural and natural heritage and developing in the direction of "green tourism, experiential tourism, heritage tourism".
