Specifically, from July 1, 2022, Hanoi City will apply the minimum wage for region I at 4.68 million VND/month (an increase of 260,000 VND/month compared to before) and region II at 4.16 million VND/month (an increase of 240,000 VND/month compared to before); region III is 3.64 million VND/month; region IV is 3.25 million VND/month.

According to the Hanoi Social Insurance Agency, employers in any region will apply the minimum wage prescribed for that region. In case there are units or branches operating in areas with different minimum wages, the units or branches in each area will apply the minimum wage for that area.
For units operating in industrial parks and export processing zones located in areas with different regional minimum wages, the one with the highest minimum wage shall apply.
Hanoi Social Insurance requires employers to review agreements in labor contracts, collective labor agreements and regulations of employers to adjust and supplement them appropriately; not to eliminate or reduce salary regimes when employees work overtime, work at night, in-kind allowances and other regimes according to labor law.
Notably, Hanoi Social Insurance emphasized that units must adjust the salary level for social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance contributions before July 25. After this deadline, if units have not yet submitted a request to adjust the salary level according to the regional minimum wage, the Social Insurance agency will temporarily adjust the salary level to the new regional minimum wage for employees doing the simplest jobs until the unit has a file for adjustment as required.
