Admire from the bottom of my heart
This Japanese businessman born in 1977 has fair skin and a gentle smile. Looking back 5 years ago, when he first set foot in Vietnam to take up a job at MSV Company Limited, the first thing he did was to exchange Japanese currency for Vietnamese currency. Seeing the image of Uncle Ho on the banknote with a long beard, high forehead, and gentle eyes, he had an indescribable feeling. “This urged me to learn about Uncle Ho. I read a lot of information and documents about his life and career,” he recalled.
“What impressed me most was his immense heart. When visiting cadres or children, Uncle Ho often asked about very ordinary things such as: “Are you full?”, “Are you having fun?”, “Are you wearing enough warm clothes?”... A leader who was busy with national affairs always gave love to those around him.” From the bottom of his heart, I respect and admire Uncle Ho very much, he expressed.
Mr. Furuta Shinya believes that good business management requires the crystallization of many qualities, qualifications, abilities, and extensive experience, and cannot be achieved overnight. “But I believe that the moral qualities of Uncle Ho that I read and learned, combined with the Japanese culture flowing through me, help me have a different perspective on business management,” Mr. Furuta confided. In business, profit is important, but for Mr. Furuta, what is more important is providing the best working environment for employees.
“I want the 1,000+ MSV workers to be present at the factory for 8 hours a day in a happy and comfortable mood. I want to eliminate the mentality of toiling for 8 hours to earn a salary to raise children. Instead, I hope workers find joy in their work. When they find joy, they will find that the 8 hours in the factory pass by more quickly and easily,” Mr. Furuta shared with passion.
From early morning, Mr. Furuta Shinya was present at the factory gate, continuously bowing to workers with the words “Ohayou gozaimasu!” (Good morning!). Mr. Furuta Shinya’s actions made the witnesses feel like they were given positive energy for the new working day.
Seeing my surprise, Mr. Le Quy Hoang, Chairman of the Trade Union of MSV Company Limited, shared that this was Mr. Furuta Shinya's regular job. Not only in the morning, but also in the afternoon when he finished work, he often showed up to say goodbye to the workers.
Every working day is a happy day
"Food is the key to success", if lunch is not guaranteed, workers will not have the energy to work effectively in the afternoon shift. Every meal, Mr. Furuta goes to the cafeteria, going from table to table to make sure each worker has a delicious meal. At first, he saw that workers could not finish their meals, instead, many had to bring extra food from home to eat, he felt guilty. The plan to improve the quality of meals began from there.
Mr. Furuta installed an automatic meal evaluation system. After the meal, workers just need to press the button to rate whether it was delicious or not, and the system will automatically report. "At first, when I saw the percentage of people who pressed the button were not satisfied, I immediately worked with the kitchen. After a while, the kitchen department now has a diverse menu for workers. Not only that, anyone who likes to eat vegetarian food can report it to the kitchen to prepare carefully," Mr. Furuta shared.
Mr. Furuta also initiated the policy of rewarding excellent workers every quarter, creating more motivation for employees to work enthusiastically. Mr. Duong Duy The Tai, a long-time worker at MSV, said: "Since this bonus policy was introduced, I feel that my efforts are appreciated, and I am more motivated to come to the Company."
Every Tet holiday, the Union and MSV Company are busy preparing meaningful gifts for employees. The gifts not only have material value but also contain the care and sharing from the management. As usual, in addition to the 13th month salary, the company also gives many special gifts to those in difficult circumstances. Last year, 11 workers in difficulty were supported with an additional 3 million VND each. Ms. Tran Thi Luong was moved: "The company's care helps me have a more complete and united Tet, not only in terms of material things, but also full of emotions".
In the conversation with Mr. Le Quy Hoang, Chairman of the Trade Union of MSV Company Limited, or the workers who shared with us, Mr. Furuta Shinya is not only a good leader but also a friend and teacher in the eyes of the workers at MSV. In their eyes, I saw respect, love, and feelings that are not always easy to obtain in a stressful industrial environment. For businessmen like Mr. Furuta Shinya, the company is not only a workplace but also a second home, where everyone is cared for, cared for and developed.
The story of Mr. Furuta Shinya demonstrates that the image and example of President Ho Chi Minh has a strong vitality, transcending borders and cultural differences, inspiring and spreading good values.
Ms. Le Thi Thu Nam, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Hue City Economic and Industrial Zone, commented: Few companies are like MSV Company Limited. The trade union of the enterprise wants to take good care of the employees, depending a lot on the employer. At MSV Company Limited, Mr. Furuta Shinya always creates the best conditions for the trade union to take care of the employees. Mr. Furuta Shinya himself also has a humane decision, using the company's money to pay the annual "Union Shelter" fee for all union members. In addition to actively responding to the activities of the trade union at all levels, Mr. Furuta Shinya also creates conditions for the trade union of MSV Company Limited to implement many other practical benefits. We are truly assured when the employees work in such an environment. |
