Vietnamese entrepreneurs need to "reach out to the sea, go underground, and fly high in the sky"

(Dan Tri) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that it is necessary to continue promoting the spirit of confidence, pride, self-reliance and self-control to take longer steps, "reaching far out to sea, going deep into the ground, flying high in the sky".

On the afternoon of October 9, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting with representatives of businesses and outstanding entrepreneurs nationwide on the occasion of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day (October 13).

In his opening speech, the Prime Minister stated that in recent times, we have achieved results higher month after month, higher quarter after quarter, higher year after year, and this term is expected to be higher than the previous term.

In that general result, there is a contribution from the team of businesses and entrepreneurs, and the team of businesses and entrepreneurs is also growing stronger and more mature.

The Prime Minister gave some examples of typical projects of Vietnamese enterprises such as My Thuan 2 bridge which is bigger, more beautiful, longer, wider than My Thuan 1 bridge but faster and cheaper; Long Thanh airport expected to be completed by the end of this year; steel dome structures of the Vietnam Exhibition Center in Dong Anh...

The head of the Government pointed out the need to continue promoting the spirit of confidence, pride, self-reliance and self-control to take greater steps, "reaching far out to sea, going deep into the earth, flying high in the sky". The Prime Minister emphasized that this is a great cause of the Party and the entire people, but the business community must play a pioneering, core and exemplary role.

To do so, it is necessary to make breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation according to Resolution 57; promote the role of the private economy as the most important driving force of the economy according to Resolution 68, along with the state economy playing a leading role and the foreign-invested economy playing an important role.

The Prime Minister stated that it is necessary to create mechanisms to maximize the capacity, creative potential and dedication of entrepreneurs. Up to now, the Government, ministries, branches and localities have promptly and effectively implemented many policies on business development as well as urgently amending and supplementing laws related to investment and business.

In addition, building a two-level local government, transforming the state to a developmental administrative system, proactively serving people and businesses.

The Government leaders hope that the business community will together create new momentum and new motivation; always stand firm on its own two feet, strive for high growth, contribute to achieving the country's GDP growth target and together move forward, develop together, and enjoy the results.

The Prime Minister asked the delegates attending the conference to share their thoughts, visions for action, and give the Government suggestions on outstanding issues and unfinished tasks with the spirit of entrepreneurs as soldiers, "wherever there is need, wherever there is difficulty, there are entrepreneurs, together with the whole country, turning nothing into something, turning difficulty into ease, turning the impossible into possible".

Entrepreneurs must rise up with the country and people, develop quickly and sustainably, and successfully achieve the two 100-year goals.
