The Prime Minister 's night inspection took place in the context of rising water levels in the Cau and Ca Lo rivers, flooding the Luong Phuc dike, affecting and endangering the lives of people living on the dike.
Hanoi Party Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai accompanied the inspection team.
At the scene, the Prime Minister asked the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee to be ready with a plan to evacuate people in case of emergency. Accordingly, the Prime Minister asked Hanoi to prepare vehicles to evacuate 30,000 people if there is a dike breach or overflow on the Cong River on the night of October 9.
"If the Cong River does not break or overflow, it will be safe here. If the dike breaks, it will be unsafe here. Vehicles must be prepared to evacuate 30,000 people. How many vehicles will be gathered here must be clear," the Prime Minister directed.
In addition, the Prime Minister requested that people be notified to be ready to evacuate from the above area. The Prime Minister also requested the army to mobilize 2 divisions to be stationed in the Trung Gia area, ready to support the evacuation of people in case of emergency.
"We must prepare places to go and places to stay for 30,000 people, in universities, schools, and cultural houses for people to live. Prepare places to eat and stay for people, and if we have to relocate people for a long time, we must also clearly calculate the plan, we cannot be subjective" - the Prime Minister requested.
In a discussion with the Prime Minister, Hanoi Party Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai said she would fully absorb the Prime Minister's opinions and would direct implementation on the night of October 9.
Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online at 10:15 p.m., Mr. Nguyen Ba Hoang - Chairman of Trung Gia Commune People's Committee - said that following the Prime Minister's direction, he was having a meeting with Hanoi leaders at night to deploy measures to be ready to evacuate people from dangerous areas in case of emergency.
On the night of October 9, floodwaters also rose onto the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen highway at the Soc Son exit towards the center of Hanoi, making it difficult for vehicles to move.

On duty overnight at key dikes
On the night of October 9, according to records, the water level of Cau River through Trung Gia and Da Phuc communes remained high, affecting the lives of many households.
Currently, the police of the communes continue to coordinate with the authorities and functional forces to deploy support plans, help people respond and ensure safety.
In Trung Gia commune, about 2,342 households with 9,210 people in Xuan Son, Song Cong, Binh An, An Lac, Hoa Binh, Do Tan, Lai Son villages... were affected, many areas were isolated due to rising flood waters.
Trung Gia Commune Police coordinated with the Commune Civil Defense Command, Battalion 86 and functional forces to urgently mobilize and support people to move to safety.
In Da Phuc commune, the commune police force divided into many teams to stand guard at key dikes, working all night to support people moving out of deep and dangerous flooded areas.
At the same time, the unit coordinated with Mobile Police Battalion No. 2, Regiment 22 - Mobile Police Command to help people harvest and cut flooded rice, contributing to minimizing damage after floods.
