Retail sales of consumer goods and services in the first quarter increased by nearly 13%

(CT) - According to the Can Tho City Statistics Office, trade and service activities in the city in the first quarter of 2025 were bustling. The authorities continued to strengthen market inspection and control. The city regularly reviewed and promptly removed difficulties and obstacles from businesses and investors in the area. Accordingly, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in March 2025 was estimated at more than VND 11,770 billion, up 4.45% over the previous month and up 12.85% over the same period in 2024. In the first quarter of 2025, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue was estimated at more than VND 35,267 billion, up 12.99% over the same period in 2024.

Retail sales of goods in the first quarter of 2025 increased by 13.16% over the same period in 2024.

Specifically, in the first quarter of 2025, retail sales of goods reached more than VND 24,508 billion, an increase of 13.16% over the same period in 2024. Of which, 4 groups of goods increased by over 20% and 3 groups of goods decreased compared to the same period in 2024. Accommodation and food and beverage revenue is estimated at about VND 4,638 billion, an increase of 11.47% over the same period in 2024. Tourism revenue is estimated at nearly VND 142 billion, an increase of 28.22% over the same period in 2024. Service revenue is estimated at more than VND 5,978 billion, an increase of 13.15% over the same period in 2024.
