Asia's leading professional MMA tournament, Angel's Fighting Championship (AFC), has become a prestigious brand in the hearts of the martial arts community in Vietnam and internationally. This is also the first martial arts event in 2024 of Angel's Fighting Championship in Vietnam. Unfortunately, "undefeated" Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat could not attend at the last minute due to personal reasons.
Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat withdrew at the last minute from the AFC 30 event.
The person who will replace Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat is Vietnamese-American boxer Chu Minh Quang and the boxer born in 2003 will face Korean boxer Back Jong Hoon in the men's 60 kg weight class. Both possessing youthful strength with a record of 1 win and 1 loss, but Back Jong Hoon is highly appreciated for his technique as this boxer comes from Team Hon, a famous martial arts school in the land of kimchi.
Along with Minh Quang, the other two Vietnamese boxers attending this event will be students at Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat's No.1 Muay Club training center. Boxer Mui Trong Vinh (4 wins - 2 losses) will compete with undefeated Korean boxer Park Sang Bin (5 wins) in the 60kg weight class. Previously, this male boxer had an impressive victory at the AFC 28 event against Chinese opponent Jia Yangin in mid-September last year.
Overseas Vietnamese boxer Chu Minh Quang will replace Duy Nhat.
The remaining Vietnamese fighter participating in this event is Luu Duc Manh in the 57 kg weight class. Duc Manh's opponent is Kwon Se Won (Korea). Another notable name of Vietnamese MMA will participate in AFC 30, the LION Championship 65 kg champion Felipe Negochadle will face off against Filipino boxer Anacleto Lauron. Felipe Negochadle is in brilliant form with 4 knockout wins.
In addition, AFC 30 is highly appreciated by experts when the remaining 4 matches feature high-class fighters from Brazil, Japan and Korea. Some notable matches include Pablo Eduardo (Brazil, 4 wins) vs Song Hyun Jong (Korea, 6 wins - 1 loss), Tsumura Naoyuki (Japan, 16 wins - 11 losses) vs Kim Jin Min (Korea, 5 wins - 7 losses) or Aragaki Yuto (Japan, 13 wins - 6 losses) vs Choi Han Gil (6 wins - 3 losses).
