Without needing a hook or fishing rod, anglers in Da Nang can "pocket" several hundred thousand dong after just a few hours of fishing by simply using "tricks".

As usual, in the early afternoon every day, at Phu Loc bridge (Thanh Khe Tay ward, Thanh Khe district, Da Nang) located on the shore of Da Nang bay, there are many old and young anglers.

The special thing is that anglers here only need to bring a piece of fishing line, no need to bring a rod or hook, and can still earn several hundred thousand dong in just a few hours.

According to anglers, fishing with bottles is very simple and anyone can do it. Instead of fishing with a rod and hook as usual, anglers here only need to use a spoon of flour, put it in a half-cut bottle, add a little water, stir well, then drop it into the river.

Wait for the fishing line to vibrate, the fish is hooked, the angler just needs to reel in the line to get the fish.

Mr. Le Khoi (residing in Thanh Khe Tay ward, Thanh Khe district, Da Nang) shared: "Fishing is not only for entertainment but also helps me earn extra income. I come here to fish from 2 pm because the fish usually go out to eat the most at this time. Every day I can earn a few hundred thousand from fishing, today I was lucky to have someone buy it right after I finished fishing so I sold it right away."

According to anglers, the most caught fish this season is mullet, this type usually lives along rivers and coasts.

The reason for not using a fishing rod is because mullet do not eat fishy bait, they like flour the most, so when they smell the fragrant flour, the greedy mullet stick their heads in the bottle and cannot swim upstream, making it easy for the angler to catch fish.

Both entertaining and generating extra income, the "trick" of fishing without using a rod or hook attracts many anglers to participate.
