Turkish football team spends money to buy Andre Onana

Trabzonspor's leadership has informed Andre Onana that they are willing to spend money to sign him on a long-term contract, even though the loan deal from MU does not have a buyout clause.

Andre Onana has made a good impression since moving to the Turkish team. In 4 matches as a starter, the Cameroon goalkeeper has kept 2 clean sheets.

United's loan deal for Onana does not include an option or obligation to buy, but Trabzonspor are ready to discuss signing the 29-year-old goalkeeper on a long-term deal with the Red Devils.

The Turkish club are already paying Onana more than the £120,000-a-week he earns at Old Trafford, so agreeing personal terms is not a big deal.

However, it is still unclear whether MU will agree to cut their losses, or at least want to recover part of the 47 million pounds they paid Inter Milan in 2023 to get Onana's signature.

Trabzonspor are playing well and are ranked second in the Turkish championship. They hope to maintain their form to compete for the title with other "big guys" such as Galatasaray, Fenerbahce or Besiktas.

Since arriving in Türkiye, Andre Onana has decided not to relocate his entire family. His wife has remained in Manchester to look after the children.
