Rename Social Insurance Region XIII

From July 11, Social Insurance Region XIII changed its name to Hai Phong City Social Insurance.

Vietnam Social Security has just issued Official Letter No. 1521/BHXH-TCCB on the organizational structure arrangement. Accordingly, regional Social Security will be renamed to Provincial Social Security, district and inter-district Social Security will be renamed to grassroots Social Security.

Thus, Social Insurance Region XIII (managing Hai Phong City and the former Hai Duong Province) changed its name to Hai Phong City Social Insurance, with its headquarters located at 2 Hong Bang Street, Hong Bang Ward, Hai Phong City.

While waiting for the competent authority to arrange (from now until September 30, 2025), change the name of the existing District Social Insurance and Inter-District Social Insurance to Basic Social Insurance for easy identification, ensuring systematicity and convenience in updating information data in performing tasks.

Vietnam Social Security requests the director of the provincial Social Security to assign the affiliated grassroots Social Security to continue to perform the task of organizing the implementation of social insurance and health insurance regimes and policies; managing the collection and expenditure of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance in the communes, wards, and special zones under their management according to regulations.

Previously, according to the organizational structure of Vietnam Social Security stipulated in Decision 1733/QD-BTC of the Minister of Finance amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decision 391/QD-BTC, the regional Social Security under Vietnam Social Security is organized into 34 regions. Of which, the Regional Social Security XIII manages the Hai Duong - Hai Phong area. Ms. Tran Thi Huong was transferred and appointed to the position of Director of the Regional Social Security XIII from June 1.

From July 1, Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city merged, named Hai Phong city, the political and administrative center is located in Hai Phong city. On June 30, the Minister of Finance issued Decision No. 2286/QD-BTC amending and supplementing a number of articles on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Social Insurance from July 1.
