Specifically, the place where the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will start is Korat Chatchai Hall, in Nakhon Ratchasima city, commonly known as Korat.

It is worth mentioning that this place is only about 150km (as the crow flies) from Surin, the border province where the conflict between Thailand and Cambodia took place.

Not long after this tournament, Nakhon Ratchasima city will continue to play an important role in hosting the Women's Volleyball World Cup, which will take place from August 22. In addition to Nakhon Ratchasima, this tournament will also take place in 3 other places: Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket.

From now until the end of the year, Thailand hosts many important sporting events, including the Women's Volleyball World Cup, the Taekwondo Grand Prix and the 33rd SEA Games.

The SEA Games is still the biggest concern for host Thailand, because of the presence of the Cambodian sports delegation. Recently, the Thai government has debated whether to ban Cambodia from participating in the 33rd SEA Games, to ensure the safety of its own sports delegation.

Also during the conflict, Thailand successfully hosted the 2025 Sepak Takraw World Championships in Songkhla province.
