Vietnam Futsal Team Wins Two Friendly Matches in a Row Against Saudi Arabia

Facing a tough opponent, the Saudi Arabia Futsal team, the Vietnamese Futsal team played impressively to get two consecutive wins in the friendly matches in April 2025.

On the evening of April 10 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Futsal team played the second leg of an international friendly match with the Saudi Arabia Futsal team.

In the first leg two days earlier, coach Diego Giustozzi's students won with a score of 2-1.

Playing against an opponent 19 places lower in the world rankings, the initiative on the field helped the Vietnamese Futsal team create many remarkable scoring opportunities.

However, just like the first leg, the home team's strikers could not convert the dangerous situations into goals in the first half.

But 6 minutes after the second half started, the home team took the lead after fixo Manh Dung's shot.

In the 32nd minute, Minh Quang cushioned the ball from a distance of 2 meters but could not beat the Saudi Arabia goalkeeper's legs.

The home team continued to win.

However, the Vietnamese team then doubled the score in the 33rd minute, from a cross by Manh Dung, Albdullah Aldossary awkwardly kicked the ball into his own net.

From minute 39 to 40, there was an explosion of goals for both teams. Nawaf scored to reduce the score to 1-2 for the away team in minute 39.

Less than 1 minute later, Thai Huy raised the score to 3-1 for the Vietnam Futsal team and immediately after that Ahmed scored 2-3 for Saudi Arabia.

According to the schedule, at 6:00 p.m. on April 13 and 15, the Vietnam Futsal team will play an international friendly match with the Kazakhstan Futsal team (ranked 5th in the world) at Lanh Binh Thang Stadium and Thai Son Nam Stadium in District 8 (HCMC).
