Couple dies after loud explosion at motel in Bac Ninh

A large fire and explosion occurred in Bac Ninh, killing a young couple on the spot.

Initial information, at about 2:20 a.m. on September 8, a loud explosion was heard by residents living in a boarding house located in Nenh ward ( Bac Ninh province).

After the loud explosion, fire and debris rose up at the scene of the incident. Residents and workers who rented the room shouted to each other to run outside and at the same time informed the authorities of Bac Ninh province.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Bac Ninh Province Police dispatched 19 officers and soldiers along with 3 specialized fire trucks to the scene to coordinate with Nenh Ward Police to prevent the fire from spreading, extinguish the fire and search for victims.

At the scene of the incident, during the search and rescue operation, the authorities discovered and removed the bodies of two victims, Mr. Hoang Minh Lam (born 2000) and his wife, Ms. Ly Thi Bich Diep (born 2004). It is known that the two victims had rented a room here for 5 years.

According to the police, the motel where the incident occurred has 4 floors with 64 rooms, mainly rented to workers working at enterprises in the industrial park in Nenh ward.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Bac Ninh Province is examining the scene, performing an autopsy and investigating to clarify the cause of the incident.
