Welcoming the first flight bringing tourists from Guangzhou to Da Nang

This is the first flight bringing international tourists from Guangzhou (China) back to Da Nang City after a long interruption due to Covid-19.

This direct charter flight is operated by Vietnam Airlines , with a frequency of 3 flights per week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday using Airbus A321 aircraft.

The flight departed from Guangzhou at 21:40 and landed in Da Nang City at 22:55.

Before Covid-19, China had a large number of international tourists in Da Nang City, with about 15 flights to localities.

Welcome Chinese guests to Da Nang city

After Vietnam Airlines, many airlines also restarted flights from Da Nang to localities in China.

According to the Da Nang City Statistics Office, the total number of guests served by accommodation establishments in the area in the first 6 months of 2023 is estimated at more than 3.5 million, an increase of nearly 117% over the same period in 2022.

Of which, international visitors were 930,000, 11.3 times higher than the same period last year, and domestic visitors were nearly 2.6 million, up nearly 68% over the same period last year. The average length of stay for visitors was 1.71 days/visit, of which international visitors stayed 2.21 days/visit; domestic visitors stayed 1.42 days/visit.

Da Nang's tourism activities and tourism support services have also gradually regained growth momentum. It is estimated that in the first 6 months of 2023, revenue from tourism and tourism support services is estimated to reach nearly 2,000 billion VND, an increase of more than 174% over the same period in 2022.
