A large family accompanies 21 special students from Da Nang to the exam.

TPO - This is the first year the extended family has had the largest number of students taking the entrance exam since they gathered in Da Nang after a major life event.

This morning, June 26th, along with more than 14,000 candidates in Da Nang , 21 students at Hy Vong School (Ngu Hanh Son district) began their high school graduation exams.

Hope School is a home for children from all over the country who lost loved ones during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Mr. Hoang Quoc Quyen, the project director of Hope School, this is the first year since its establishment (2023) that the school has had so many students taking the exam.

Twenty-one students took the exam at three locations: Le Loi Junior High School, Herman Gmeiner School, and Ngu Hanh Son High School. From early morning, the teachers and staff at the Hope House checked the students' documents and arranged transportation to each exam location.

After coming to live at Hope School, in addition to having a shared home, being cared for in terms of meals and sleep, and overcoming hardships, the children also receive education, academic support, and opportunities to develop their strengths.

The teachers and older students at the House of Hope always support and accompany the children, especially during important exams.

This year's 21 students have diverse aspirations. Some want to study journalism, others pursue their passions in music or cooking. Some are determined to pass the entrance exams for medicine or education... Last year, 9 students from the Hope House took the exam, and all 9 passed. Mr. Quyen expressed that this is a source of happiness and also motivation for this year's students.

During this exam season, the teachers and staff are dedicating a lot of attention and care to the students, giving them more time and a relaxed mindset to focus on their studies. In addition to classroom lessons, the students also receive extra tutoring from teachers and volunteers in subjects they are struggling with.

The mentors at the Hope House encouraged the students before they entered their first exam. This year, Da Nang has 14,156 candidates registered to take the exam under the 2018 general education program at 30 examination centers; and 393 candidates registered to take the exam under the 2006 general education program at 1 examination center.
