Comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen holds the position of President of the Vietnam Women's Union.

(CPV) - The 11th Central Executive Committee Conference of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU), term XIII, elected Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen to join the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, member of the Central Presidium, and hold the position of President of the Vietnam Women's Union for the 2022-2027 term.

On the afternoon of November 6, the Vietnam Women's Union held a conference to announce the Politburo 's decision on personnel work. Attending were Politburo members: Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung; Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai.

Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung presented the Politburo 's Decision on appointing comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Women's Union for the 2022-2027 term.

According to Decision No. 1638-QDNS/TW dated October 30, 2024 of the Politburo, comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, holds the position of Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Women's Union, term 2022-2027.

Presenting the Politburo's Decision and congratulating comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Head of the Central Organization Committee Le Minh Hung said that in her working positions, comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen was assessed by the Politburo as a capable and courageous cadre, always completing well and excellently assigned tasks, making important contributions to the overall achievements and results of the agency and locality where she worked.

"We believe that comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen will quickly adapt to the new job, continue to promote her capacity, strengths and working experience, together with the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Women's Union to effectively lead and organize the activities of the Union, meeting the increasing demands in the new situation. We request that the Party Delegation, the Presidium, and the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union strengthen solidarity, unity, sharing, support and assist comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen to complete the tasks assigned by the Politburo," said comrade Le Minh Hung.

Leaders of the Central Organizing Committee, Hanoi Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Central Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union congratulated comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen.

Immediately afterwards, the 11th Central Executive Committee Conference of the Vietnam Women's Union, term XIII, took place. As a result, 100% of the Executive Committee members present at the Conference elected Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen to join the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, member of the Central Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union, and to hold the position of President of the Vietnam Women's Union for the 2022-2027 term.

In her acceptance speech, the new President of the Vietnam Women's Union, Nguyen Thi Tuyen, respectfully thanked the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the leaders of the Party and State for their attention, trust, and assignment of the task. The President of the Vietnam Women's Union respectfully thanked the members of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union for their trust in electing and assigning her the important responsibility of being the head of a political and social organization in the political system.

"The Vietnam Women's Union is an organization representing the legitimate and legal rights and interests of women of all classes; striving for the development of women and gender equality. I am deeply aware that this is an honor, as well as a great responsibility for the organization, the Vietnamese women's movement, especially for the senior comrades who have contributed their efforts and intelligence to building the organization over the past 94 years.
