Over the past few days, at military units throughout the province, new recruits have been guided to familiarize themselves with the regular routines of the military environment, such as arranging their living quarters, learning drill regulations, settling into their living quarters, and participating in political education sessions and group activities.

In their tidy living quarters, the new recruits practice folding blankets and sheets according to regulations, tidying their personal belongings, and chatting to get acquainted with their new comrades. These seemingly simple tasks are actually crucial first steps in helping each new recruit gradually integrate into the military environment.

This year, Regiment 977 (31st Division, 34th Corps) received 130 new recruits. Recognizing that the initial days of military service have a significant impact on the psychology of new recruits, the Party committees and commanders at all levels within the unit have proactively implemented various measures to understand, guide their thinking, and build rapport with the recruits.

In particular, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Huan - Political Commissar of Regiment 977 - personally met with and encouraged two pairs of CSM brothers: Nguyen Tu Duoc (party member) - Nguyen Tu Manh (two brothers) and Tran Minh Quang - Tran Minh Khai (twin brothers).

During the meeting, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Huan kindly inquired about the family circumstances, the process of enlisting, and the thoughts and aspirations of the soldiers.

During the exchange, the Regiment's Political Commissar encouraged the soldiers to quickly stabilize their morale and focus on training; at the same time, he urged them to foster a spirit of solidarity, camaraderie, and mutual support for collective progress.

Deeply moved by the unit commander's concern, soldier Nguyen Tu Manh shared: "In the first few days in the unit, we were quite unfamiliar with everything, but thanks to the care and encouragement from our superiors, we all feel very reassured. We will try our best to abide by discipline and actively train to fulfill our duties as soldiers."

Many units also provided thoughtful care and encouragement to the new recruits. For example, immediately after receiving more than 500 new recruits, Regiment 991 (under the Provincial Military Command) quickly organized the stabilization of the personnel, met with them, and created conditions for the new recruits to quickly integrate into the military environment.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Hai Au, Commander of Regiment 991, said: "Officers at all levels regularly get close to the soldiers, understand their thoughts and feelings, and promptly encourage and help them quickly stabilize their mindset and feel secure in their training."

Notably, among the unit's new recruits this year is soldier Ksor Y Nê (born in 2002, Jrai ethnic group, from Breng 2 village, Ia Hrung commune). Before enlisting in Battalion 50, Y Nê graduated from the Public Administration program at Hue University and had just started a family life with his first son turning one year old. Despite having many worries, Y Nê still volunteered to enlist.

Y Nê shared that the decision wasn't impulsive, but a choice driven by responsibility and youthfulness. "Some family members were worried because I was still young, but I thought that as a young man, I should fulfill my duty. Luckily, my wife was very supportive, always encouraging me to enlist with peace of mind, assuring me that both families would take care of things at home," Y Nê confided.

At Battalion 50 (Regiment 991), the reception and management of new recruits is carried out systematically. According to Lieutenant Colonel Phan Tuan Anh, Political Officer of Battalion 50, to help new recruits quickly adapt to the military environment, the unit places special emphasis on management, education , and understanding their ideology from the very first days.

In addition to political education and group activities, the officers regularly visit each room, eating and living with the soldiers, promptly listening to, encouraging, and addressing the concerns and difficulties of the new recruits. This helps the new recruits quickly stabilize their psychology and focus on their studies and training.

Observations show that all recruits strictly adhere to unit regulations, actively participate in group activities, and are beginning to develop the disciplined demeanor of a soldier.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quang Trung, Political Commissar of Regiment 739, added: “This is a crucial period for the new recruits to adapt to the new environment. The regiment always creates conditions for the new recruits to hone their courage, willpower, and sense of responsibility, striving to successfully complete their tasks during their time in service.”
