On the morning of July 31, informing VTC News Electronic Newspaper reporters, the leader of Thai Binh ward (Hung Yen) said that the authorities urgently fixed the incident of a storm that blew away the railing and decorative lighting system on Thai Binh bridge (from Tran Thai Tong street to Long Hung street) in Thai Binh ward (Hung Yen).
Specifically, at around 10:30 p.m. on July 30, a tornado knocked down the lighting system, decorative lights, electric poles, and nearly 40 meters of railing on the right side of the bridge, throwing them into the river. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
According to the leader of Thai Binh ward, because the bridge railing is attached with a decorative lighting system, creating a relatively large windbreak, when there was a big storm, it was blown down into the river.
After the incident, local authorities coordinated with the Traffic Police, Department of Construction, Thai Binh Road Management Company and related units to be present at the scene, deploying measures to overcome the incident and ensure traffic safety.
Authorities temporarily reinforced the collapsed railing, diverted traffic, blocked two entrances to the non-motorized lane, and set up ropes and warning signs and lights to ensure safety for people and vehicles.
Currently, the authorities are continuing to review the damage, assess the current situation and propose a solution to completely fix the problem as soon as possible.
