Dong Thap supports farmers in bringing their agricultural products to the "digital market".

Instead of having to take their goods to the market or wait for traders to come to their farms to haggle over prices, farmers in Dong Thap province are proactively innovating their agricultural product consumption methods thanks to the "digital market" model.

Typically in My Ngai ward, the official website for agricultural products has just been launched, becoming a unique "digital market" that is comprehensively transforming the way local agricultural products are consumed.

This model completely eliminates intermediaries, connecting buyers directly and transparently with farmers. Through a digital interface, customers can directly check information ranging from area size and planting process to harvest yield.

To date, the My Ngai agricultural product data system has successfully digitized the catalogs of more than 700 local farms (including 417 mango orchards, 150 rice-growing areas, 117 jackfruit orchards, along with numerous areas of vegetables and durian...). Simultaneously, the platform integrates more than 20 OCOP products with 3- to 4-star certifications, creating a diverse and reputable digital agricultural ecosystem.

Ms. Le Thi Truc Mai, a farmer participating in the model in My Ngai, shared that since agricultural products were put on digital platforms and connected with collaborative activities such as the Xom Ray Market, farmers no longer worry about oversupply. Vegetables and fruits are sold as soon as they are produced, increasing their value, and buyers have great confidence because of their clear origin.

According to Mr. Cao Hoang Hai, Deputy Head of the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Planning Department of My Ngai Ward, the construction of a website with a wealth of continuously updated and comprehensive information and data demonstrates the strong determination of the local government in digital transformation, while also connecting farmers and buyers. This is considered a solution that contributes to increasing the value of agricultural products and helping farmers increase their income.

Not stopping at My Ngai, the model of digitizing agricultural products and building "digital maps" is spreading strongly to many other localities throughout Dong Thap province.

Currently, the authorities in Dong Thap province are actively promoting a pilot digital traceability system that covers the entire process from production to transportation, committing to bringing clean, high-value products to consumers.
