Rao Tro Reservoir Project (Ha Tinh) under construction: Request to hand over the site for the project

On May 7, information from the People's Committee of Ky Anh district (Ha Tinh province) said that the People's Committee of this district has just issued a document requesting the collection of trees, crops, dismantling of constructions, architectural objects... to hand over the site for the construction project of the Water Supply System for Vung Ang Economic Zone.

According to the People's Committee of Ky Anh district, recently, the Compensation, Support and Resettlement Council of Ky Anh district coordinated with the People's Committees of Ky Tay and Ky Thuong communes to organize a field inspection of the handover of the previously handed over area and the area that has completed compensation, support, resettlement and site clearance work in Ky Thuong and Ky Tay communes to Vung Ang Investment and Development Joint Stock Company to implement the project of building a water supply system for Vung Ang Economic Zone.

Through inspection, it was found that the above mentioned area was basically re-encroached by people for the purpose of planting acacia trees.

In order to hand over the construction site of the project items to build the Water Supply System for Vung Ang Economic Zone according to the schedule of the investor, Vung Ang Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, the People's Committee of Ky Anh district requested the People's Committee of Ky Thuong commune and the People's Committee of Ky Tay commune to notify relevant households, individuals and organizations to collect trees, crops, dismantle works, architectural objects... to hand over the site for project construction, within the scope of site clearance that has been compensated, supported and resettled.

Previously, on December 10, 2024, SGGP Newspaper published an article "The Rao Tro Reservoir Project ( Ha Tinh ) is under construction", reflecting the Rao Tro Reservoir and the spillway project of the Water Supply System for the Vung Ang Economic Zone, with a total investment of more than 4,400 billion VND.

The project was almost completed but due to some difficulties and problems, the stream was not blocked, construction stopped, and it has been abandoned for many years. Seeing the project land abandoned and wasted, many people have re-encroached to plant acacia trees, affecting the security and order situation in the area.
