Hai Phong tourists come to Mu Cang Chai golden season, have fun for less than 2 million

From September to October is the golden season in Mu Cang Chai, attracting many tourists and photographers to come and sightsee and take pictures.

More than 300km from Hanoi, Mu Cang Chai is one of the “must-visit” tourist destinations during the rice harvest season in the Northwest. Late September and early October is the most beautiful time in Mu Cang Chai when the rice on the terraced fields ripens evenly, spreading a brilliant yellow color across the area.

“When we arrived, the rice fields here were slightly yellow, some were still green, but the scenery still exuded a unique beauty compared to the time when the rice fields were at their most brilliant, around late September - early October. Luckily, the day we went, the weather was sunny and cool, so it was convenient to visit and take photos all day. However, the number of tourists coming here was quite large, so everyone had to wait for each other to get a good angle to take photos,” the young man said. Because the schedule to see the golden season in Mu Cang Chai is limited to 2 days (including travel time), Minh Hieu and Hong Van prioritize destinations that are easy to go, have beautiful scenery and are located on the same route, including: Tu Le, Khau Pha Pass, Mam Xoi Lon Hill, Mong Ngua. According to the Hai Phong visitor, Mam Xoi Lon Hill and Mong Ngua are the two most beautiful and attractive golden season viewing spots in Mu Cang Chai. However, the road to get here is quite steep and narrow, so visitors should hire a local driver to take their motorbike there at a cost of 100,000 VND/person/round trip.

The ideal time to visit and take beautiful photos of the ripe rice season in Mu Cang Chai is early morning or late afternoon. At that time, the sun is gentle, the weather is cool, convenient for visitors to visit and take photos as well as admire the beautiful sunrise and sunset moments. Minh Hieu suggests that if you have the opportunity to experience the golden season of Mu Cang Chai, visitors can check-in the ripe rice scene in Che Cu Nha, Mui Giay hill, ... to avoid the crowded scene or combine to explore some other attractive destinations, not too far away such as Mang Mu corn house, Mo De bamboo forest, "dinosaur spine", Kim Noi rock and especially Khau Pha pass. Located at an altitude of 1,500m above sea level, Khau Pha Pass - one of the four great mountain passes of Vietnam is considered the most beautiful place to see the golden season in the North. This place also attracts a large number of tourists to experience paragliding, fully admiring the terraced fields from a bird's eye view. In addition, when coming to Mu Cang Chai, visitors should not miss the opportunity to enjoy delicious dishes and local specialties such as black chicken hotpot (about 500,000 VND/pot), Tu Le green rice (over 100,000 VND/kg), ...
