Midfielder Ilkay Gundogan was the last defender to leave, joining Galatasaray on a free transfer.

Ilkay Gundogan was reportedly Pep Guardiola's first signing at Man City in the summer of 2016. He spent seven years with the club before joining Barcelona.
Gundogan returned to the club in August 2024 and played 33 Premier League games last season. However, his form declined at the same time that Manchester City weakened.

Meanwhile, Manuel Akanji joined Inter Milan on a one-season loan deal with an option to buy for £13 million.
At 30 years old, the Swiss center-back can make the most of his experience in Serie A – a league that isn't as physically demanding and fast-paced as the Premier League.
