(Dan Tri) - For the first time, Vietnam Railways Corporation organized 2 community trains with the theme "Spring train" running through New Year's Eve. These 2 trains are decorated with paintings about Tet.

Only a few days left until the Lunar New Year 2025, Hanoi train station these days is decorated with peach blossoms, apricot blossoms, and yellow chrysanthemums to welcome the new year.

According to Dan Tri reporter, the main gate for passengers to board the train is decorated with lanterns and peach blossom branches.

The Tet decoration space at Hanoi station is an ideal place for many young people to take photos.

Workers are rushing to complete the final stages of decoration at Hanoi Railway Station to welcome the Lunar New Year 2025.

The highlight at Hanoi Station these days is that Vietnam Railways Corporation has put into service two community trains with the theme "Spring train". These trains will be on train SE1 departing from Hanoi Station at 10:10 p.m. on January 28 and train SE4 departing from Saigon Station at 7:30 p.m. on January 28. These are also the last moments of 2024. Therefore, the two trains will run through the sacred New Year's Eve.

The colors of apricot and peach blossoms are boldly depicted by the artists on the two train cars. The train departing from Hanoi is decorated with the pink color of peach blossoms, while the train departing from Ho Chi Minh City is depicted with the yellow color of apricot blossoms. The peach petals are artistically embossed on the outside, attached to a tree trunk covered with cloud patterns, a traditional Vietnamese motif. This makes the Tet atmosphere even more special when the train runs "through" the old year into the new year.

Painter Truong Trong Quyen shared that the pink color of peach blossoms, a typical flower of Tet in the North, and the yellow color of apricot blossoms, are the two consistent images, stylized in each creative space. In particular, the peach blossom train departing from Hanoi is stylized into a forest of trees blooming in the new sunlight. The blocks are arranged along the aisle, making passengers feel like they are lost in a space of Spring and Tet.

The decorations on the train are traditional and full of Tet atmosphere, such as riddles, images of Chung cake wrapping, a small corner of the street covered in golden sunlight - where an old scholar is writing calligraphy, folk games such as tug of war, lion dance, puppetry, etc. "The drawing style we apply is the style of folk paintings, with a Dong Ho influence, and the strokes are done simply, directly, easy to see, easy to understand for the majority. Passengers only need to look at it to feel Tet with them", artist Truong Trong Quyen shared.

Artist Tran Trieu Tuyet said that she and her colleagues will travel on the SE1 train departing from Hanoi station at 10:10 p.m. on January 28. On this special train, Tuyet and her colleagues will organize painting sessions for passengers on the train as well as draw directly on famous landscapes across the country. "We artists are eagerly waiting for the train to depart so that we can bring meaningful gifts to passengers on the special train running through New Year's Eve," artist Trieu Tuyet shared.

According to Vietnam Railways Corporation, this is the first time the unit has organized a "Spring train" running through New Year's Eve. After more than a month of construction, assembly, and decoration, the two community cars are now basically complete. To bring an interesting and unforgettable experience, passengers with train tickets on the "Spring train" will be able to participate in many interesting and attractive experiences throughout the journey.

On the afternoon of January 23, the community train car decorated with the yellow color of apricot blossoms was brought to the yard of Hanoi station to complete the final stages to move to Ho Chi Minh City, in time to serve on train SE4 departing from Saigon station to Hanoi at 7:30 p.m. on January 28. At the moment of New Year's Eve, in the community car, passengers will immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere with the countdown program of a sweet party on the train counting down the time to welcome the first moment of the new year, wishing each other a good and lucky new year filled with wealth, peace and happiness; participating in lucky draws with many attractive gifts; participating in folk games, enjoying typical dishes of Tet holiday...
