These days, Mr. Nguyen Van Sach's family, residing in Ea Bar commune, Song Hinh district ( Phu Yen ) is extremely excited with the results from more than 1,000 lychee trees planted on 3 hectares.
Each lychee tree yields from several dozen to several hundred kilograms. Traders buy lychees at the garden for 30,000 - 50,000 VND/kg depending on the quality of the fruit. Thanks to that, lychee gardens this year bring in a good income.
Mr. Sach said that lychee trees seem to be quite suitable for the soil of Song Hinh district, giving high productivity. His family is aiming to grow clean fruit trees combined with tourism for visitors.
In addition to the lychee harvest, Mr. Sach and some people in the commune also turned the lychee garden into a tourist destination. Many tourists enjoy checking in at the garden, taking photos with the bright red, plump lychee bunches...
Ms. Le Ngoc Linh (Tuy Hoa City) happily said: “I came here through reviews on Facebook, the lychees here have a very delicious sweet taste. The garden has a large area and a cool climate, the best thing is that you only need to buy a ticket to visit the garden and eat as much as you want. The feeling of picking fruit from the tree and eating it right there is great.”
Mr. Le Mo Y Bong - Vice Chairman of Ea Bar Commune - assessed that in recent years, the agricultural development situation in the commune has had many positive changes.
People have boldly converted ineffective land into fruit trees with the current area of about 700 hectares. Many newly introduced experimental crops have produced high yields such as lychee, grapefruit, etc.
The locality also guides people to grow fruit trees and create experiences for tourists, contributing to promoting the brand and creating a destination for the locality.
