On the afternoon of August 31, at Huong Loc Commune Health Station (Quang Tri), 20-year-old mother Ho Thi Loc gave birth to a 3.4kg baby boy at 5:40 p.m. The baby is the second child of Ho Van Chai and Loc, living in Tram Cheng village, Tan Lap commune.
Right after the baby cried out at birth, the leader of Tan Lap commune - where the baby's parents live - heard the news and personally went to the medical station to visit and give gifts on National Day September 2.
At 6:30 p.m., Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai Ly - Vice Chairman of Tan Lap Commune - was present and presented a gift of 100,000 VND on the occasion of National Day, September 2, to the child.
Touched by the thoughtful care of the commune leaders and the meaningful gift, ignoring the original naming plan, the family decided to name their child Ho Quoc Khanh.
Ms. Ly said that the entire Tan Lap commune has more than 14,000 people, and by the evening of August 31, the September 2 gifts had been distributed to about 80% of the people. The remaining two villages will continue to distribute them on the morning of September 1.
On August 31, many communes in Quang Tri also paid National Day gifts on September 2 to the people.
Previously, Ba Long commune paid and completed at 6:30 p.m. on August 30, considered one of the first few communes to pay.
Quang Tri province allocated 184.7 billion VND to provide to communes, wards, and special zones with more than 1.84 million people in the area, ensuring that everyone receives gifts on the occasion of the big holiday.
