According to information from the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, up to this point, the grading of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in Hanoi has been completed, and some more steps are being processed to announce the exam scores on July 4.

According to Tuoi Tre Online, some examiners said the results of the literature exam increased compared to last year.

Analyzing the benchmark scores for grade 10 admission in Hanoi this year, some officials with experience in high school admissions also predicted that the average subject score/benchmark score in Hanoi will be higher than before.

The first reason is the change in the way of calculating admission scores (all 3 subjects have coefficient 1), while last year math and literature scores had coefficient 2, and English scores had coefficient 1. The average English score is also predicted to be high, so the average score of the exam will be higher than last year.

However, teachers also believe that there will be no sudden changes in benchmark scores as rumored on social networks these days.

Previously, Hanoi also planned to announce the exam scores as early as July 4. At the same time, it will announce the admission scores for public high schools.

It is expected that by July 8 at the latest, schools will receive the exam result reports to issue to students. Students who wish to have their exams reviewed must submit their applications between July 4 and July 10. From July 10 to July 12, admitted students must confirm their enrollment (online or in person).

On July 17, schools that do not have enough students will recruit additional students and from July 19 to July 22, students who have been admitted will confirm their enrollment. On July 28, candidates will receive the results of the exam review and from July 28 to July 30, schools will continue to process student records after the review and successful candidates (after the review) will confirm their enrollment.

Hanoi's 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year will take place on June 7 and 8 with subjects including literature, math, and foreign language (for non-specialized students).

Hanoi has nearly 104,000 candidates registered to take the entrance exam to grade 10 public high schools. The enrollment quota for public high schools in Hanoi accounts for about 64% of the number of candidates, about 2% higher than last year.
