In the first nine months of 2025, Hanoi welcomed more than 26 million visitors, an increase of nearly 24% over the same period in 2024 ; total revenue from tourism reached nearly 98.4 trillion VND, an increase of more than 20% over the same period last year. This is an impressive result, continuing to affirm the strong resilience of the capital's tourism industry after the global recovery period.
Along with the rapid increase in the number of visitors, the system of infrastructure and tourism services has also been significantly expanded and upgraded. The whole city currently has nearly 3,800 tourist accommodation establishments with more than 71,000 rooms, nearly 2,700 establishments, travel businesses, and more than 9,400 active tour guides. create a professional service network, well meeting the increasingly diverse needs of domestic and foreign tourists.
Since the beginning of the year, Hanoi has continuously created attraction with many large-scale tourism events such as the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival, promotional programs at the Vietnam International Tourism Fair - VITM Hanoi, activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2, and many domestic and foreign tourism promotion programs.
At the Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025, Hanoi made a strong impression with many honored units, spread across 11 categories from travel, accommodation, transportation, restaurants, spas to training, creative products and community destinations.
These events not only create highlights to promote the image of the capital but also contribute to strongly spreading and promoting the growth of tourists to Hanoi.

Product diversity - Enhancing tourism brand
Not only stopping at impressive growth figures, Hanoi is focusing on building a tourism brand with its own identity, placing culture and people at the center. With more than 5,000 historical relics, hundreds of traditional festivals, rich cuisine and a thousand-year-old culture, Hanoi has all the conditions to position itself as a safe and friendly, cultural and creative destination.
The city focuses on harmoniously combining heritage conservation and tourism economic development, forming creative spaces , contemporary art exhibitions, walking streets, night markets, heritage discovery tours by electric car - bicycle... creating unique experiences.
New products such as the night tour “Decoding the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long”, “Tran Vu Bell”, or the “South Thang Long Heritage Road” route have made Hanoi night tourism more attractive. In addition, river tourism, golf tours, community tourism in My Duc, Phuc Tho… contribute to diversifying products and distributing customers reasonably.
In particular, the new tourism product “The Hanoi Train” has been officially put into operation, bringing visitors a unique experience when exploring the beauty of the capital through a new perspective, contributing to enriching the picture of modern, friendly and creative Hanoi tourism.
At the same time, Hanoi promotes the development of green tourism, community tourism, agricultural tourism, and encourages models associated with local culture in suburban areas such as Ba Vi, Soc Son, and Dan Phuong. The experiences of "a day as a farmer", "visiting Bat Trang pottery village", or "checking in Duong Lam ancient village" are increasingly popular with international tourists. These models not only enrich tourism products but also spread economic benefits to the community.
In addition, the city strengthens regional connectivity, forming linked tour chains such as "Hanoi - Trang An", "Hanoi - Ba Vi - Son Tay", "Hanoi - Ha Long"... to help expand choices and experiences for tourists, while promoting overall development for the entire Northern tourism region.

Sustainable development for impressive finish
In the last months of the year, Hanoi Tourism focuses on maintaining growth momentum, improving management and service quality, aiming for professional, sustainable and modern development.
At the same time, the capital promotes the development of unique, high-quality tourism products that are suitable for domestic and international market trends and needs in order to build its own brand and create more experience space for tourists. Regional tourism routes are also researched and built, creating a complete product network between Hanoi and neighboring localities to diversify choices and extend the length of stay of tourists.
Along with product development, Hanoi has stepped up tourism promotion both domestically and internationally in many creative forms; taking advantage of digital platforms and social networks to spread the image of modern, dynamic and integrated tourism in the capital.
The Capital Tourism also promotes digital transformation in tourism, builds a smart tourism ecosystem, standardizes data and encourages businesses to apply modern technology in promoting and introducing products.
Human resource training, vocational skills training and civilized tourism behavior continue to be focused on, contributing to improving service quality.
In particular, Hanoi prioritizes planning and investing in developing tourism infrastructure in a synchronous, professional and modern direction, contributing to improving the experience and satisfaction of domestic and foreign tourists.
The last months of the year are not only the “golden season” of the Capital’s tourism, but also the time for Hanoi to affirm its mettle and stature. With careful preparation, a spirit of innovation and a solid foundation, Hanoi is confidently entering the peak tourist season, promising an impressive finish in 2025, worthy of its position as the leading destination in the country.
