Located about 3 nautical miles northwest of Ly Son Island (Big Island), equivalent to 15 minutes by boat, An Binh Island has an area of ​​only 0.69 km2, is one of the smallest islands in Ly Son island district. The population on the island is about 500 people in more than 100 households. However, every year An Binh Island welcomes tens of thousands of visitors to visit and experience.

The ideal time to visit An Binh Island is the dry season from April to August every year. From September to the end of the year is the rainy season, the sea is rough and can affect the travel schedule. From the end of December to April of the following year, the island enters the green moss season which is also very unique.

From Big Island, groups or individual travelers can choose to take a speedboat or a wooden boat depending on their needs. Since 2017, the local government has piloted a ban on plastic bags, encouraging islanders and tourists not to bring single-use plastic products, or to replace them with other environmentally friendly materials.
