In particular, the April 30th - May 1st holiday will be a vibrant time as the province welcomes a large influx of tourists for sightseeing and experiences. Furthermore, Tay Ninh will have the honor of hosting the United Nations Vesak Celebration 2025 delegation, with many meaningful activities taking place at the Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area.

At the beginning of 2025, Linh Son Tien Thach Pagoda on Ba Den Mountain welcomed tens of thousands of pilgrims who came to worship and pray.

In addition, the exciting culinary event – ​​the 2nd Tay Ninh Province Vegetarian Cuisine Festival – will also contribute to honoring the distinctive vegetarian culinary culture, creating a unique highlight for local tourism.

According to statistics from the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, from the beginning of 2025 to the present, the number of tourists visiting tourist areas and attractions in the province has reached over 1.4 million, an increase of 1.4% compared to the same period in 2024. Notably, tourism revenue is estimated at 1,102 billion VND, recording an impressive increase of 47% compared to the previous year. Furthermore, the development of the tourism industry has also led to strong growth in related fields. Revenue from accommodation, food and beverage services, travel and tourism activities is estimated at 2,339 billion VND, an increase of 5.3% compared to the same period. These figures show that Tay Ninh is increasingly asserting its position as an attractive destination, attracting tourists and creating momentum for local economic development.

Tourists primarily visit key attractions in Tay Ninh such as the Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area, the Cao Dai Holy See, and the Central Committee of the Southern Region Historical Site, contributing to the province's tourism industry growing beyond expectations. Unique activities rich in cultural identity have created a special appeal, making Tay Ninh an attractive destination. Notably, Ba Den Mountain continues to maintain its position as the province's tourism center, ranking among the most attractive destinations nationwide. A clear testament to this appeal is that on March 8th, the Sun World Ba Den Mountain tourist area welcomed 2 million cable car passengers, affirming Tay Ninh's breakthrough tourism potential.

To achieve these impressive results, from the beginning of 2025, Tay Ninh's tourism industry proactively implemented many activities to promote growth. These included promoting tourism trade abroad, organizing unique festivals during the Lunar New Year, and developing diverse tourism types such as agricultural tourism, river tourism, traditional craft villages, entertainment, and cultural tourism. In addition, Tay Ninh collaborated with neighboring localities and the Southeast region to develop attractive tour routes. Notably, the province also leveraged opportunities for strong promotion through the Saigontourist Group 2025 Culinary Culture Festival and enhanced its tourism image on digital platforms, contributing to attracting an increasing number of tourists.

An opportunity for Tay Ninh to make a breakthrough.

Tay Ninh's tourism industry is facing an even greater opportunity for breakthroughs as it can expand the promotion of Tay Ninh's tourism image, nature, and people through a series of upcoming major events.

Specifically, in early May 2025, within the framework of the United Nations Vesak Celebration 2025, Ba Den Mountain in Tay Ninh is expected to be chosen as a location for a candlelight prayer for peace by more than 2,000 delegates from 80 countries and territories. The United Nations Vesak Celebration, organized by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and taking place in Ho Chi Minh City from May 6-8, 2025, presents a great opportunity for Tay Ninh to promote its image, people, and boost tourism and socio-economic development.

Also in May 2025, the 2nd "Tay Ninh Province Vegetarian Cuisine Art Festival" promises to be the most anticipated culinary event in the Southeast region. Taking place from May 25th to May 31st, 2025, the festival will be held in an open-space setting at Xuan Hong Park, Tay Ninh City. This is not only an opportunity for visitors to enjoy the finest vegetarian cuisine, but also contributes to honoring local culinary culture and creating a highlight for Tay Ninh tourism.

According to Mr. Tran Anh Minh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tay Ninh province, the "Tay Ninh Province Vegetarian Cuisine Art Festival" is an activity organized to preserve and promote the value of the national intangible cultural heritage; to honor artisans who are preserving and promoting the unique values ​​of Tay Ninh's vegetarian culinary culture; to bring together artisans and businesses to participate in exchanges, sharing, and learning experiences in the art of vegetarian cuisine. At the same time, it aims to promote, introduce, and convey the value of Tay Ninh's vegetarian cuisine to the domestic and international food markets. In particular, at this festival, Tay Ninh will attempt to set a Vietnamese record for preparing 200 vegetarian dishes with the participation of leading vegetarian restaurants in Tay Ninh.

The artistic performance showcased the cultural essence of Southern Vietnam on the summit of Mount Ba Den.

During the festival, the Linh Son Holy Mother Goddess Ceremony on Ba Den Mountain – a national intangible cultural heritage – is also held from the 4th to the 6th of May in the lunar calendar. These events are not only an opportunity to showcase the province's tourism potential to domestic and international visitors, but also a driving force for the sustainable development of the industry, making Tay Ninh an attractive destination on the Vietnamese tourism map.

Furthermore, in order to achieve the province's GRDP growth target of 10% by 2025, the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee has set a goal of attracting 5.7 million tourists and generating revenue of 2,700 billion VND in the tourism sector alone.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province, one of the province's driving forces is to boost consumption and attract domestic and foreign tourists through tourism development linkage programs with localities in the region, such as connecting tourism between Tay Ninh and Binh Phuoc, Ho Chi Minh City, and other provinces and cities in the Southeast region.

At the same time, Tay Ninh will also focus on innovative solutions to improve the effectiveness of investment promotion, trade, tourism, brand building and protection, ensuring technical standards and conditions, and enhancing the value of local products.
