"Green Health Journey" examines and gives free medicine to more than 500 people in Bu Gia Map commune

Accompanying the Organizing Committee of the program "Green Health Journey" in 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy organized medical examinations, treatment and health screening for people. In addition, many cases were also measured for bone density, general ultrasound, checked for tumors, thyroid and were assigned to perform paraclinical tests with the support of modern equipment. Master, Doctor Ho Ngoc Loi, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy expressed: "The mission of the school is to take care of community health, associated with the actions of all staff, lecturers and students. With the expertise and dedication of doctors, lecturers, medical staff, medical and pharmaceutical students, as well as some of you working in Ho Chi Minh City, we wish to come to difficult areas across the country, with the spirit: No one is left behind".

With the support of dozens of businesses, “Green Health Journey” hopes to connect with local authorities to support the treatment of serious illnesses for ethnic minorities. Thereby, helping people in remote areas have more conditions for health care and ease the pain of illness.

The organizers arranged many consulting desks to support information recording and guidance for people.

“This is a program that demonstrates great solidarity for the community and that is also the greatest meaning that the program wishes to bring. We cooperate with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Ho Chi Minh City to bring people the opportunity for comprehensive health care, with modern equipment - something that people in ethnic minority areas have difficulty accessing”, Mr. Le Anh Tu, Permanent Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Entrepreneurs Association affirmed.

Arriving very early to be examined by doctors, Mr. Dieu Dum (Dak Con village, Bu Gia Map commune) confided: " I am old so I am very worried about my health. I also want to go to a higher level to be examined, but because my family does not have the conditions, the road is far away. Now that a group of doctors has come to examine the people, I am very happy, leaving my garden that has not been harvested yet to come early to wait for the examination. After listening to the advice of the doctors from the city, I feel much more secure."

Also at the program, the Organizing Committee presented more than 500 gifts, including food and essential necessities to support people in difficult circumstances in the commune. The gifts not only have material value but also demonstrate sharing and the spirit of mutual love with compatriots in the border area.

In response to the sentiments of the “golden hearts”, local leaders also presented certificates of merit and letters of thanks to the units and businesses. “We are truly happy to receive support from the units for the health and life of the people. We sincerely thank these extremely valuable sentiments, helping the people have the opportunity to access advanced and modern medical technologies, at the same time have more funding and meaningful gifts to serve their lives”, Mr. Dieu Thuan, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bu Gia Map commune expressed.
